Scales

My scale is very unreliable. The weight changes depending on where I stand or if I slightly lean in one direction or another.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good scale that isn't too big or excessively expensive?

Thanks,
Nancy

Scales!! Slowly I turn....step by step...inch by inch....

You see, a few weeks ago I found out by going to the Dr's office that my attractive-looking Krups scale weighed 10 pounds.....yes I said ten POUNDS!! TEN POUNDS LIGHT!

WHAT GOOD IS IT?? Although I could just set it up 10 lbs, like 10 lbs as zero, but I got rid of it. Can't trust that mutha! So anyhow....the scale at my YMCA weighs the same as the Dr's, so that's the only one I use.

I kind of like not having a scale at home - cuz otherwise I'd be weighing every day and making an tragedy out of every tiny fluctuation.

I have a Tanita that appears to be pretty good. I got it a Bed, Bath and Beyond and I don't think it was terribly expensive but you do have to take some time to program it.

Thanks Kate & Petra, I appreciate your input. I don't belong to a gym, so I have to rely on a home scale or just how my clothes fit to track my progress.

I don't belong to a gym either - but I just have a fairly cheap digital scale I got from Costco. I've no idea how accurate it is, but it does seem consistent, which is all I need.

LC, I asked this question on the Weight Loss Support board a while back. The most popular answer was the Tanita, for a home scale. If you search that board, you can find the post and see what others had to say. Hope it helps.

I haven't done it yet, but I do plan on buying a Tanita myself.
