New Mediterranean Chick!

    So glad I found you! I did really well with the Mediterranean Diet
    approach years ago. I've decided to try it again.

    Love the Mediterranean diet-but really need some ideas for
    breakfast.

    Whats your favorite Mediterranean breakfast???????????????

  • Hi Jahra, welcome! The Mediterranean board doesn't get a lot of activity these days, but jump up a level to the Whole Foods board ... lots of chatter and ideas there.

    My favorite breakfast is plain yogurt with fruit, nuts, and maybe some cereal, all mixed together. It's an easy no-brainer for me on work days, and I like it a lot. My other favorite is a whole-wheat tortilla with peanut butter spread on it, and wrapped around a banana. Mmm!

  • I also regularly do oatmeal with nuts and fruit and milk (or almond milk, or soy milk).

  • I was gonna say oatmeal with maybe some chopped apples and cinnamon. Keeps me going for longer than any other breakfast.
  • This is my first post at this board--
    my breakfast generally is oatmeal w/whatever mix-ins I feel like (usually chopped fruit, thawed frozen berries, grated ginger and/or walnuts)

    I also do egg white omlettes with Soyboy sausage and Kashi GoLean waffles with natural peanut butter and sliced apples.
  • Omelets are my favorite breakfast, Greek style with feta and spinach, Mexican with cut up peppers and salsa, and sometimes boca breakfast meat and mozzarella cheese.
