Default Newbie who needs encouragement

Hi,

I've been trying to lose weight on my own, and it's just too hard. Maybe this site will help me realize that I'm not alone.

The quick background is... I'm 45 and just got married for the first time a year ago. I lost 54 pounds 3 years ago, met my "to be husband", was really good keeping off the weight, got married last April, and then gained 35 pounds this past year

I really want to lose the 35 pounds, then I'll start working on the rest. I feel so fat, and I want to lose the weight... but I really like eating, especially ice cream

I need some serious motivation so I can do this!!!

You are in the right place! There are many forums to choose from and there is so much advice and information you will find so much support here. YOU CAN DO IT! You have done it before, it is hard work I know, but take it one week at a time. Good luck!!

Hi Wendy,
I really want to lose this weight also! Let's try doing it together. I think it gets harder when we get past 40 to lose the weight.
As a matter of fact, I didn't realize how quickly one can gain weight
after 40!!

Like you I am new (signed on today) and I need encouragement and accountability. I LOVE SWEETS. I love snacking. But today I have been very very good.

I don't have a "diet plan" yet, but what I have decided to do until I get one is whatever I take away from myself I will replace it with something else.
Example. Stop drinking coke and switched to diet coke. I love cream filled dounuts so I switched to ww eclairs. Those are so good. I have to do this because if I say I can't have it I want it that much more.

Well let me know if you have any ideas and what you are wanting from a weight buddy that will help you reach your goal.
