Thought this was cool....

  • reading an article on the concept of superfoods, I found the following paragraphs, which I thought sum up my feelings about this way of eating pretty well:

"Encouraging ourselves to include healthful foods removes it from the sphere of a strict diet, and we all know what happens with strict diets.

Banning foods is negative. Tell me not to eat butter one more time, and despite my best intentions, I'll be baking a potato or making toast, thinking all the while about how delicious butter will taste on it.

But by thinking good thoughts about good foods, and eating them every day in different ways, it becomes a way of life you can continue happily without worrying about "being bad" and falling into an abyss of fats and carbs. "

  • I truly believe that what you posted is the exact reason why we are all able to stick to this so easily. I know we all have different challenges, but we seem to be doing really good with this WOE. As someone else posted, it's about abundance, not restriction. Thanks for posting this.
