  • So I was picking up some groceries tonight and out of impulse I grabbed a box of butter tarts off the shelf in the bakery. I looked at them for a few seconds, decided I didn't really need them, and then put them back on the shelf. It looks like I'm finally developing some diet willpower.
  • good girl!

    that is excellent news!
  • Thats great! I went grocery shopping today and did pretty good, im actually proud of myself, but still didnt do as good as i probably should lol
  • Isn't that an amazing thing when it happens...esp the first time? Good Job!
  • Those impulses are hard to resist, good for you at taking a second look at them! Imagine the probable pound of butter they're made of... then wrap that around your midsection.... Hmm, not so yummy now!
  • That's awesome! Just remember this feeling of exercising will power and resisting whenever you are tempted the cheat. Eating bad (but sooo good :P) foods make you feel good temporarily (very temporarily), but in my opinion, that proud feeling of resisting temptation lasts much longer and will make you feel great about yourself.
  • Yayyyyyyyyyyy! Congrats!
  • Haha, I love the score!
  • yes!!!
    Don't you love that feeling?
  • Good Job!!! That's one of the things I have the most trouble with when shopping. Darn baked goods.
  • Thanks, everyone. I've actually made a "scoreboard" out of a dry erase board on my fridge for motivation. Everytime I get the craving/opportunity to do something bad dietwise and I resist I get a point. I'm a visual learner and seeing it laid out should help.

That's a VERY good idea!! Let me know how it works out for you in the long run!
