Default The Weekend - April 29 & 30

Good morning and Happy Weekend!

After a slow start, Lucy did her thing between midnight and four. She had six boys and one girl, all darling and all a good weight. Two are black and white (cool!) and the rest are black with just a tiny white spot somewhere. I want one!

I'm pooped but wired. I'm going to try for a power nap because there's a big day ahead. My meeting starts at 9:30. Any bets on whether or not I'll make it on time?

I'm out the door - I just wanted to post and say I'm down 3 pounds this morning and one body fat % point. So I'm happy!!!

Ruth~ When you come to tutor me in Math , bring me the runt.. I want one..I am glad all is well..

As for me, all is well in Central West Virginia I got the Gazelle and the Ab Scissors yesterday,and decided it is time to try to do something, given I have not done anything fot 10months over my leg and Siotic nerve (sp) injury,,

So 12 minutes on the Gazelle was it, my leg began hurting so I quit, I will try it for 8 minutes next time and just build up.. that is aggrivating,, the Ab Scissors did not bother me at all. that is only a 3 minute work out... Anything is better that nothing, right?we will just have to See what my leg lets me do.... I hope losing some of this weight will help my leg.. who knows!!!! I am on a fruit kick from ****.. Is it real bad for you to eat A lot of fruit,, like 3 apples, one bannana and 2 cups of Strawberries,, NOt at one sitting.. but through out the day.

I LOST 3 LBS. I WEIGHED IN THIS MORNING....

Morning all. It's been rainy the past couple of days, but I'm definitely not complaining. We needed it sooooo badly! Not a real busy weekend ahead, but need to run some errands and do a couple things up at church. Didn't get a chance to reply to posts from yesterday, but I have to give BeachBum several smiles & hugs on her fantastic news about the hubby!!!!

Ruth - The puppies are here! The puppies are here! Hope Lucy is recovering well. Can't wait to see the pics!

Anchor and MsCrock - Congrats on the 3 lbs....each!

Crock - If you keep trying, I'm sure you'll build up time on the workout equipment. As for the fruit binge - at least it's better than going for the loaf of bread. Hang in there!

Good Morning Ladies

I want to thank all of you for the wonderful support you gave me & my family though this horrible ordeal.We're very HAPPY this morn. I lost 1 lb this morning and starting next week I'm going to W-I on Mondays as it will bring me accountable over the weekend.

Ruth-congrats on Lucys puppies. They sound so cute,I love to see puppy pictures.

Anchor & ms Crockett big congrats on your 3 lb weight loss.

Crock-I go through long periods of not being able to work out especially with the gazelle which works alot just start slow you're going to do great!

ME: Making the list to finally go to the store for the first time in weeks im still 190 but DH gained so we're both goign to ph 1 Between the stress and tragedy we've had In the last few weeks I'm ready to start fresh!
Shed the old skin and start building the new one
So I'll be hitting the recipe thread to find some yummy stuff!

Good morning everyone!
HAPPY SATURDAY!

I have a busy busy busy day ahead of me. Working 11.5 hours but I get Sunday off which will be nice. (it doesn't happen often) I haven't been at all OP these last couple days so I am going to start a phase 1.5 today. With just a teensy bit of sugars.

I haven't been able to go to the gym these last couple of days either. Which probably hasn't helped. Im going to start that right up again started sunday though.

Hope everyone has a good day!

I need some advice.

Could someone tell me how the losing body fat and gaining lean muscle works? I know that you need to have your body fat tested to be able to tell. The thing I don't understand is that I have plenty of fat to lose, but I have gained 5 lbs! It is almost TOM, but I still feel that I should have lost. I have been working out so much more than my body is used to and I have been primarily using the Firm Videos which incorporates free weights. I can tell a difference in my clothes and for that I am happy, but it is very discouraging when you know there is weight to lose, you've been working hard and the scale is going in the wrong direction.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Crocky: Jeez I can think of worse things to eat If all that fruit doesnt cause cravings or cause you a set back, maybe you are one of the lucky ones! .. Banana's are "limited" ..1 cup strawberries and 1 small apple are on the "goood" list in the Good Carb/Good Fats guide.
Math... errrrrrr... the only way I was able to "get it" was by tutoring myself via a workbook I got from Barnes and Nobles... It focused on the basics ...like realllll basic .. Decimals, Fractions ..funny enough I loved Algebra..but had to get a tutor for Geometry I hated Thereoms and proofs . I let My Math phobia get the best of me and my education... Don't let it get the better of ya!!!!!

Anchor: I was the "goto" friend pal fer my single galpals... ya know get them outta bad dates... and be the 3rd wheel my favorite was my girlfren met this dude fer cawfee, he looked okay in his pic...but it musta been one from 10 years prior or a relative ....anyway, me and galpal are in the dining booth, waiting fer this guy... and we see this big lincoln pull up, and this little guy who I swear if he wasn't wearin a cowboy hat, we wouldn't of seen him over the door! Galpal looks at me and said...oh GAWD char, I hope that aint him... yep, about 5'1 to galpals 5'7... and wearin this all out cowboy "outfit" (which would be okay I guess if you live in TX,OK,WY etc.... but Joisey????? ) yep he strutted his self in and introduced us like he was john Wayne and callin us "little ladies" -- bad teeth, and dude with a jersey accent lookin like little Woody in toy Story.. Sad Sad Hysterically SAD !!
He didn't look ANYTHING like his photo...Real hard to start off any kind of relationship when you are delusional about the pic ya post on Match game.com .... I guess youse gotta kiss alot of toads before ya find yer match...

Jazz: Hope you have tomorrow off!!!

Ok, I just got back from Dog Day down at the local park... Me and "the girls" had much fun! Lots of Doggies...lots of Rottweilers... it was sponsored by a rottie rescue group.. It was so neat to see all these retrievers and labs swimming in the pond too.

Tonight burgers on the grill, and a nice salad... Fresh strawberries in splenda for dessert!

Shatzi~ If you can tell me what book helped you with Math I would appreciate it,, I will try anything,, It does seem that Algebra is not as hard as I anticipated but, I am still in a panic...
I must be able to do the fruit, however, I am conscious of the amounts,, No craving with Banannas, grapes, strawberries, and apples.. No Pears. that is another story... I hope it lasts. I love fruit.. and I agree, To much fruit is better than and ounce of sugar..in my book...

Hi chicks! I'm back.

I just had lunch - burger no bun and a salad. I'm getting ready to make my shopping list.

want2 - Usually it is more reps less weight to lose fat & gain lean muscle. However the mistake most people make is not enough cardio!!!! Cardio burns the fat, muscle makes the calories burn longer so your cardio workouts last longer. But I can say that even though I have gained weight in the past 2 months. My body shape is different from when I weighed in at 220 before. You'll get the hang of it. Most of the weight is probably water due to TOM. I know I won't lose anything the week of TOM.

Schatzi - I met this doc on match he seemed very sophisticated and eloquent. We chatted and phoned for over 2 months. He was such a brainiac so much so that I thought he might just be too much for this average chick. When I was in Gulf Shores for spring break I got elected to shuck 15 oysters and that is not easy. Everyone was waiting around for me to stick that little knife through my hand. So we got pretty hysterical and they took a picture of me with my camera phone. I sent him the oyster picture and a very mild joke about oysters being aphrodisiacs. He sent me back the nastiest filthiest text message I've ever seen in my life. My mouth hit the ground. Where did that sophisticated eloquent man go? He even used the short hand like U and ur. So much so that I though his 17 year old son had been playing some kind of sick trick on me. But the doc fessed up it was him. LOL funny. Needless to say we never went out. I kept the message on my phone for laughs but was worried my DS might see it someday so I finally deleted it!!!!! Can anyone say LOSER! LOL

I'm off to shop!

Thanks KO and Shatzi I clicked and it worked!!

I'm working hard at this SB thing but so far I'm just "stabalizing". I have my 40th high school reunion this July, never been to one and I want to look nice. Not skinny, just nice.


Hey Wantabe I have heard that when you work your fat to muscle it weighs more. Maybe that's what is going on. However, I can't say I know that from personal experience.
