Nope, I had a colon cleanse when I had colonoscopy last year. No way, no how for me.

My poor DH has fissure issues. It would prolly kill him to have that much crap come out of him. I need him around!

Did y'all not think those pictures looked like intestines? That's scary!

Dairy -- has your DH thought about fissure surgery? I had fissure issues after my first baby -- it was positively awful. I was misdiagnosed as hemhoroids for months -- had the surgery and within 2 weeks I was completely healed and back to normal. Good luck for him -- I will never forget that kind of pain!!!

P.S. to all -- I love the topics we discuss around here...nowhere else would I read or discuss other people's BMs, TOM, peed pants (katie, LOL), etc. Man, this place is great!

Surgery has been tossed around, but he has found certain triggers for the fissure in his diet. Oddly enough, it always flares up when I try to buy the multrigrain bread with the crunchy stuff on top. OMG I love that stuff, but I just stick to the really soft bread for his sake now. Also spices and a few other things will cause a flare up.

Can I ask, why the Colonix???? OUr bodies are meant to clean themselves out naturally without doing things like this. They can actually upset the bodies natural balances and cleansing systems.

With all the garbage that people eat or have eaten in the past, could you imagine what could be in your body?! Not to mention parasites or God only knows what else. I agree that the body is made to clean out naturally, but what goes into our bodies sometimes is far from natural. This Colonix could only help get rid of stuff that shouldn't be there...and if there's nothing bad in there, then all the better, right?

I agree with Tina. As well, I am hoping this cleanse will start getting things working properly again. For me, it's much more unhealthy to have to take laxatives in order to have a BM - that isn't natural. I want to try a natural product before I go to the Dr. and am given something synthetic.

Finally, here is a thread about colon cleansing that was here at 3FC a while back in the "Does It Work?" part of the forum:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63318

In my honest opinion, all of the praises and photos and testimonials of colon cleansing products come from those either selling the herbal products, or those running the centers performing the colonic services. Not from anyone else.

In a normal person, drinking more water, and eating more fiber from natural sources is the simple cure for constipation and other similar ailments. If that doesn't work, then the best thing to do is to see a physician about any underlying medical issues-rather than buying a product off of the internet or herb store.

Thank you for the links. We're not doing this for weight loss. The ingredients are 100% natural. I'm not doing it because of constipation...just a simple cleansing of my body.

I wasn't assuming that everyone was doing it for weight loss. As far as it being 100% natural, a lot of things that are completely unsafe are natural as well-such opium.

Natural doesn't always mean safe.
