Default Question for those who use NutriDiary

I checked it out, and do like it. Thanks for the recommendations

The only thing I cannot figure out is the recommended calories. You can customize how many calories you want in the control panel...so I did. But on the 'My Log' page, when it lists your Calorie Summary it seems to base the quota on your BMR, general activity, etc (which I admit is cool since I struggled with understanding that last night!). Why doesn't it take into account that I selected a different calorie amount in the control panel? The one on the Calorie Summary is almost 1000 calories more than the one I said I wanted to do...Any way to change?

Oh, just saw this post so I'm double replying to you. Ok, so if you're going to customize how many calories you'll be eating a day you need to go into the control panel area. Then go into "set/modify my goal" and set what your goal weight is and how quickly you want to lose it. Then nutridiary will take that into account when figuring out how many calories you should have each day. So for example, I have in right now that I would like to lose a pound and a half a week so it adds my Metabolic Rate with my Daily Activities and then any exercise I enter and then subtracts 750 to give me my quota for the day. I also like how it gives you a running total of how many calories you have left. Once you've been doing it for a week you can run a report on calories in vs. expenditure and it will estimate your weight loss. I hope this makes more sense and hopefully helps!

Ohhh, you know...that makes sense. I did fill in that part where it asked if i wanted to lose a certain number of calories...I guess I didn't know that I was telling it to do two total different things! heh
Thanks again...you've been much help these past two days
