Default I'm gonna stay on phase 1 till I get it RIGHT!

I finally got my copy of the new book - lost my old one, Lord knows when. So last night I went through week 1 menues to make a shopping list and will start on Dr A's phase 1 menues Monday.
It seems like when I try to go by general principles I either eat too much or mess something up. I'll keep track of my calories this time too, as muchas possible.

Michele, please don't rely just on the food lists in the book. The Revised Phase I list has new things in it - like milk, yogurt and tomatoes.

What I got was the new paperback. It has broiled tomatoes for supper on one night, allows for skim milk in my tea, and I already know I like nonfat plain yourt with a little sugar free vanilla protein mixed in. I checked the ingredients in it, looks OK.
Should I still be hungry, I'm going to rely on extra veggies. I had Joyce Vedral's book, she advised eating all the veggies you want (SBD approved,of course). Cooked or raw, she said. I love those little jars of mushrooms!

GBgirl, you might check out the revised lists just in case...things change so quickly! We've looked at the new book and it looks like most changes are in there, but not all. Just so you know.

I think it's great that you're preparing ahead...that makes ALL the difference!

I find that it's hard for me to usually eat veggies without some kind of fat...and so when I eat all the veggies I want, I get a lot of fat, too! Just watch out for that, okay?
