I don't know if I am in the right place..

  • I am 'new again' to WW. I tried about 2 or 3 years ago but I just wasn't ready. I wasn't doing it for me - I was doing for everyone but me.

So here I am now - ready and rarin' to go.

    My first meeting is tonight.

I am starting at about 290'ish and I am aiming for 160'ish

  • You sure have come to the right place. This is a great site for anyone interested in making a life change. I post regularly to a thread here called 'Countdown to 250'. You're welcome to come and hang out with us over there. It's a great group and we love to share inspiration and motivation with each other. Hope to see you there.
  • Hi.
On here, any place is the "right" place. If you want the WW support then you posted in the right spot for more information or stories similiar to yours. I just read and reply to anything I feel that I can benefit from or maybe someone else can benefit from. I haven't checked yet but you can post a thread on the "buddy" thread if you'd like someone to pal up with you. Good luck on your loss I know you can do it. I weighed 256 pounds at my biggest last July and have lost 52 pounds and kept it off. I still have 48 to go but it will happen. Read posts and reply often and you'd be surprised at how motivated you can be.

  • welcome carole
welcome to the sight and to WW. I started a few weeks ago and I have my meeting tonight. I am on my way out the door but I wanted to welcome you and let you know I am where you are too, weight wise. If you're looking for a buddy, I love to chat and if you're just looking for some great info/advice, this is a great site. Good luck. Feel free to email me if you would like.

  • Thanks!
Well - my first meeting was great! It is a meeting for people with 50+ pounds to loose - but most of the people there have over 100 to loose.

It is so helpful to be in a room full of people with as much or more weight to loose as I. It makes me feel less 'freakish'!

My leader lost 125lbs and has kept it off for 7 years - what a motivation!

Thanks to all who welcomed me. I look forward to sharing my successes and my pitfalls with you all!!!
