Hello,
I am 33 years old, 180 pounds and attempting once again to get in control. I am new to this site but not new to boards in general I just wanted to introduce myself to you all.
I would really enjoy a buddy, I have never had one! ( I feel like this is a singles ad lol )
Female looking for another female around same age perhaps to share struggles, ideas and support - only those willing to hound me should apply
Welcome Babbs. I am new the the site as of the first of the month. I have a posting here for people with MSN Messenger to be able to Instant Message each other to "hound" them. If you'd like to join please feel free. If you don't have MSN Messenger it is free to have. That way anytime you are online at the same time I am I can pop up and see how you are doing or pop up with "HELP I want Chocolate!!!!" Then you need to talk me down.. LOL. Anyway if you are interested in me.... Sorry personal ad thing. LOL. IF you'd like to talk about goals and helping eachother to lose the weight PM me.
Hi Babbs and Paula,I just joined this site tonight! I'm quite impressed with the variety of forums and supportive groups at this site! [/FONT][/B]
I am a 38 year old French teacher from Whitby, Canada. I've been married for three years and I don't have any children.
I'd love to correspond with the both of you. We can share ideas and encourage each other along on our weight loss journeys. My ideal weight according to my family doctor is 170 pounds. That means, that I'll need to lose between 60 and 70 pounds.
Exercise isn't a problem for me. I religiously go to the gym 3 to 5 times a week. Junk food (especially chocolate) is my downfall.
Tonita. Great job on the exercise!!! Have you tried any of the other "chocolate" bars from south beach, weight watchers, slim fast or any of them?? Some of them don't taste that bad! Let us know how you are doing. Hope to hear from you soon.
I'm new to the forums on this site. However, I have used this site in the past for recipes--there are some great ones! I'm looking for a buddy as well: someone around my age (I'm 32) and who might be facing some of the same struggles. I'm 5'3" and about 200lbs (I haven't weighed this week yet; I started South Beach Sunday and it's reccomened not to weigh every day, so I'm hoping for a loss!). I would idealy like to get down to about 140lbs--I think that's a weight I can live at, but we'll see (one step at a time!).
Anyway, I would love to share ideas with you and celebrate our success!! Now, I'll hound you, but you gotta hold up your end of the bargain and really hound me as well--accountability is important for sure!
Hi There! Jumping on Babb's initial post to introduce myself, too!
I'm 28, and been on the South Beach Diet since last Thursday evening. I did my starting weigh in, then dropped 10 lbs in the first 24 hours (?). I had dh get on the scale again to make sure it wasn't broken! But I really think most of that was water weight, and I was suspicious of it saying I'd gained a full 10 lbs from my last weigh in at my doc's just a month previously and the real weight loss isn't but the other 5 pounds. But hey, I'm 15 lbs down from my official start weight just a few days in, so
Anyway, I'm about off work for the night, and work's usually the only place I do email. Glad I found this place, though.
Hi! I also found this site last week and joined. I love message boards. I usually hang out with the travel boards but this year its too depressing. Not going on any trips, weather in Mi is cold, wet and dreary, I need to lose 50lbs. I am a sahm of 2 boys 7 and 10 (you'd think chasing after them I'd be as slim as a rail)
I have mild form of MS that kinda slows my down. I love to read chick lit( trashy novels) travel to warm beachy places, being a mom and walking and bike riding. I live in michigan so am trying out in home walking dvds to help lose weight.
Hi,
I am also new here. I actually joined here about a year ago, but then quit coming here. And now I have even more weight to lose!! I am a 32 year old stay at home mom to 5 kids(ages 11, 8, 6, 2, & 9 mos). I currently weigh about 195-200(I really hope it's not more than that!). I would like to lose at least 40-50, then decide from there whether I want to lose more or not. I have no energy, which is really hard since I have 5 kids to keep up with! And I have no self esteem, always beating myself up for being this big. Anyway, I am looking for buddies to help keep me motivated and going. I'm not currently on a 'diet', but am thinking of starting the Atkins. I am a member of Ladies Workout Express, and just started going again this morning.
