Weight Question

  • Is this good or bad ~
    Been on Phrase 1 for 3 days losing and this morning I weighed and
    I gained 1/2 lb - Has anyone had this to happen ? I must say this is discouraging ! Any advise ? Thanks.
  • We've all had something similar happen. Is it your TOM? Perhaps you could post an exact list of what you ate WITH quantities and we may be able to spot something. Phase I food should be pretty pure with no bars or shakes.

    By the way, lots of Chicks wait until the end of Phase I to weigh because your body goes through a lot of adjusting during that time.
  • Make sure you are drinking enough water. It could be that you are consuming sodium without drinking water to offset it.
  • You should be eating at least 4 1/2 cups of veggies each day, plus at least 64 fl ozs of water (just water - not tea or diet soda or whatever - those shouldn't count towards your water). The water can be hard at first, but as you detox, you may find it tastes better and better to you. If the water in your area just plain tastes lousy, try bottled. Like Ruth said, post what you've been eating with quantities, if you'd like our comments. Sometimes people just starting the SBD have a "dieting" mentality that causes them to not consume enough calories, which can hold back weight loss.

  • Didn't have shakes/bars - eating plenty of veggies ~ so must be not enough water. Also, I have alot of stress
    in my life and I think that is a factor too.
