Smile Hi. I'm new.

Hi. This is my first post and I think this is the place to do it, huh?
I'm 36, Christian sahm to a 4 year old girl and wife to a great guy. I was attracted to the title of this website, it's so fun! ha!
A small history here. I was a fat kid, fat teen too until I started smoking cigarettes and partying (gave those up long ago). Marriage+Pregancy+stopping smoking and the pounds have mounted. I don't have a certain diet to follow, I don't do very well with them. I'm doing more the "eat only when hungry and stop when hunger is satisfied, eat for physical hunger not emotional reasons and don't keep junk food around the house" type thing. Basically just adopt the lifestyle of a thin person, I guess. Breaking old habits is hard but so many of you show it can be done and we're not alone.
Thanks for reading. You seem like a great bunch and so much success here!!!! Awesome and inspiring! You make me think I can do it

Hi, I'm new also. I've been browsing through the site for a few days and reading the forum conversations - a lot of good stuff!
I'm 27 and about 50Ibs over where I want to be. I'm an overeater and I binge a lot. I've dieted all my life, went through bulimic and anorexic periods. I'll go up and down in weight year after year after year. Right now I'm on my heaviest and feel pretty disgusted with myself. I hate not having clothes to wear and always having to buy bigger sizes. It makes me feel horrible.
I guess I'm realizing that whatever I've been doing to lose weight until now has not helped and has only made me feel more depressed and hopeless. I know I have to do it the healthy way and change the lifestyle to have any long term results. ...so why did I start taking Phentermine a week ago? How is that healthy and how is that different from what I've been doing before. Even if I do lose some weight on the pill but my lifestyle doesn't change, I'll gain it all back and more. Thaking the pills is not the solution for me.

Anyway, just wanted to say HI! and welcome other new folks!
Thanks for reading!
