I had my little (and I mean little - 5'4 and size 6) sister and her family here for the Thanksgiving holidays. We love to get together in the kitchen and cook, eat and talk.
During one of those long talks, she asked me about LAWL. As usual (and I know you all know this!

) I was a whiney-baby about it. I compared it to WW and pointed out all of LAWL "flaws."
I guess only a sister could do this, but she sat down and went through the Gold Plan (which I thought was too little food) and she said, "Oh Andi, I don't know. This looks really good." Then she proceeded to go through the plan page by page, commenting on all the good things she saw. When I told her I was on the Red plan and got more food, she looked at me like I was crazy!
Then she said, "Look, you've paid good money for this program and you're not taking this seriously. You can do this! It'll be fun! Quit thinking about WW and look at this like a new adventure."
I don't know why, but that really changed my attitude. Since lil sis isn't a professional dieter like me, she was able to look at LAWL with an unbiased opinion. It seemed like a lot of food to her and seemed very doable. And, suddenly, when she thought it looked good - it looked good to me!! Isn't that wierd?
So, I started over today with my program, challenging myself to be as POP as I can be. Of course, I'm paying for my overindulgences with some hunger, but that is to be expected and will soon pass.
Now, I'm looking at this in a whole new light and I'm really excited! Who'd of thought that a little sister could be so smart!
