Smile winning points question

Does anyone still use this plan?I did it a few years ago and I'm starting it again today.I tried the flex plan but I don't think I stuck with it long enough.I know it would work cuz the program works but you gotta work it.

Renee, Really both programs are 99% alike.

With Winning Points you had a low end of a range and a high end and you could bank what you didn't use for later in the week. You could also bank your ActivityPoints.

With FlexPoints you still have a low end of the range (now called TargetPoints), you also still have a high end that is banked (now giving up front and called FlexPoints). You no longer are able to bank the ActivityPoints though and must use them on the day they are earned (good because you need those extra calories on the days you are more active).

The only major difference between the 2 programs is the fact that the low end of the range is 2 points higher than with Winning Points based on new research and W/W decided that their low end caloric intake was too low.

We still have the 8 Great Health Guidelines that have been around since W/W points started. The fiber cap that became into effect with Winning Points is still there.

What I do is divide up my FlexPoints over the course of the week to give me a 5 point a day range. If I use those points fine if not I roll them over to the next day. If I use more than the 5 points I take a way a point here or there or over the course of the week (to keep it as much even as I can) to make up for it.

I also use my ActivityPoints (always have though) and use them before I use the 5 FlexPoints I put into my range.

See the programs are really the exactly the same thing with basically 2 exceptions.

Thanks Kelly.I'm gonna start with 22-27 points range even though it should be 24-29 cuz I'm right at 200.Is that okay to do that? It's TOM so I know a few #s of it are cuz of that.

Renee, I follow the winning points also, It's just easier to me to stay w/n the point range I have and to bank the points and use them later if needed. I think it's because when I started ww that is what they used. I know that the first time, when I hit 200 I didnt lose anything for a week, so I dropped down to the 22-27 point range and I lost 4 pounds that week. So I would go ahead and try it. Good luck!

Renee - this might help you with your tracker http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56332

I actually preferred the Winning points program but now I am so used to Flex that I just can't see myself going back.

If you are supposed to have 24 points that is what you should do. Eating less than that will only serve to slow your metabolism.

I am supposed to be at 20 TPs and I eat 24 TPs still because I am still losing with those points.
