Well ladies since I'm up I figured I'd go ahead and post. The last couple of days have been so hectic. Wednesday I woke DD#1 up for school and she started throwing up. I took her temp and it was 101.8 so I called the school and let them know that she wouldn't be there, then called the doc. The next appt. they could get her in was Thurs. at 11 so I took it. The doc said that as long as Tylenol was bringing down the fever not to worry. Then I had to try and keep the other 2 kids away from her so she could rest. Hubby called with a list of errands he needed me to run and phone calls that I had to make, so when DD woke back up and I took her temp and it was almost normal and she was keeping food down we loaded up (she spent most of the time laying over on her snuggly pillow covered up with her special blanket in the back seat of the van sipping 7up and reading her book. She said that she felt like a queen being chauferred around.) and ran all over town. Came back home and I had to clean up the house and get supper done. Well then I get a call from the school's automated service saying that she has been reported absent but that it's an unexcused absence. So I called the school to find out why. They don't accept a parent note or call as excused only a doctor's note. I gave them an earfull and told them you haven't even given me time to get her to the doctor let alone get a note to you. I let them know in no uncertain terms that they had better take the unexcused absence out of the computer or I would have a talk with the head of student services (who I happen to know quite well) at the school board. I wouldn't really care except that with an unexcused they won't let her make up any of her work, and she gets zero's on any of the graded material. Well they fixed it sooo...I took her to the doc Thurs. and she has strep throat. Yeahhh
. She can't go back to school until Monday. I stopped by the school and dropped off her note and asked for her assignments. They said I have to come back Friday to get them because the teacher wasn't to be bothered in the middle of class to get them. They will tell her to get them together for me after school. As we are walking out my DD points to a group of kids and says mommy there goes my class. They were with the art teacher on the way to art class, so I went back into the office and pointed the fact out to them that DD's teacher wasn't teaching right now that the kids were on the way to another class and could they please ask her to get DD's work for me so that I didn't have to drag her back out to get it on Friday and they said oh this is the teachers time right now. You'll have to come back.
Boy they made me mad but I was a good girl and left before I said something evil and hateful. So then I drop DD off at home (DH was home from work sick) and go back to town to WalMart to drop her script off and get a couple of things. They say 30 min for the script well and hour and 15 min later they tell me oh we haven't filled it yet cause we need a copy of her newest insurance card. I asked well couldn't you have told me that one of the 3 times I came over here to check and see if it was done. Oh yes ma'am I'm sorry about that. So 20 min after I give them the card I get to finally leave. I got home, got a miagrain from being so aggrivated and took a pill and went to bed. DH came and woke me up to find out how to cook the hotdogs for supper. Do you want them boiled or on the George Foreman grill? At this point my miagrain was so bad that I leaned over and got sick on his feet. He looks down and says ok so you don't want either I can respect that, I'll make you some soup. (Now remember he's home from work cause he's sick too and here he is cleaning up after me and taking care of the house and kids bless his soul I don't know what I'd do without him) That brings me to today. Today I have to go get DD's schoolwork and finish cleaning the house. Needless to say I haven't gotten in any exercise since Tues. morning so hopefully I will be able to today. My eating has been pretty much OP so at least I have that. Well it's now after 1am so I guess I need to try and go to bed and get some sleep. Ya know as I type this and look back at the last couple of days it's actually kind of funny. In a weird sort of way.
