Default Delurker here

Hi all! I didn't know whether I should say hello on this forum, or on the 100 Plus. I've been reading all of you for the past few weeks, trying to get up my courage to post!

I'm restarting for the 70-11th time. I lost a lot of weight on WW 20 years ago -- went from 216 (which I thought was awful at the time) to 180. Then thought I could do it on my own. In the past 20 years, I've gained more than 100 pounds. I've made half-hearted attempts to get rid of them, but this time I'm DETERMINED. (The user name is because I am, by nature, a late riser, and I'll never get exercise in unless I get up earlier!!)

Hope to get to know you all!

Tami

Welcome, Tami!

Congratulations on making a decision to change your body! You can post here AND in 100+ if you want.

Getting up early to exercise would be a great habit to start! It takes a few weeks for something to become a habit, so really persevere at forcing yourself to get up to do this until it becomes a habit. I go for a 30-40 minute walk with my dog every morning, and I wouldn't miss it. Even when it's raining, I get geared up with raincoat and umbrella and go!

Thanks for the welcome, Allie and Huntersmommy! Exercise is going to be a real hurdle for me. I was never active, and now I'm old I've tried to do everything at once in early mis-attempts, and this tiime I'm going to try baby steps: first, be sure to eat within points and follow the nutritional guidelines, then water, then exercise.

This is a great site! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and learning a lot!

Thumbs up

Hi Tami!

We are in the same boat! I have stopped and started WW more than I can ever count. I have re-re-started 5 weeks ago. I have lost 8.6 pounds and have over 100 more to go!

I also get confused about where and how to post. (That is why I am mostly a lurker!!!) But, I do love this website! The people are very supportive and have bonded like a family.

Just wanted to say welcome and keep at it!!! Starting is just the begining of a whole new life!

Yvette
