Default Newbie that needs a buddy!

Hi, My name is Brandy. I live in Indiana and have 3 wonderful children. Dylan 14 yr, Chance 23 months and Brynna 3 months. I am a sahm who is taking online classes for my nursing degree. I am at an all time high of 247 I am miserable. I am only 5'2 so I am miserable!! I am looking for someone to email recipes with , chat, help with motivation and not feel like I am doing this alone. Does anyone need a buddy??

Oops , I forgot to add I am 29. To loose the weight I have decided just to start eating healthier and watch calories. ANd to start eating fresh fruit and veggies instead of chips and chocolate!

Hi Brandy! It's great that you have made the decision to change your lifestyle. It's not an easy road, but I know it is well worth it! I have been on Weight Watchers since February and have lost 20 pounds (wish it were a lot more!) and need to lose another 50. Sometimes I get frustrated that I haven't been able to lose it quicker, but then I try to focus on the fact that it doesn't matter how fast (or slow) I lose it, as long as my weight is going down. I have made some lifestyle changes and am still working to make more. I have three children, ages 8, 7, and 3. Let me know if you would like to exchange emails to support each other.

Hi Brandy and Onmyweighdown -

I'm also a fellow hoosier, also 29 and also have about 60-70 more lbs to lose. When I started my fitness kick last Jan, I was at 316lbs. As of now, I've lost 59lbs, but obviously am not where I need to be. I'm also getting to a point of frusteration. I've worked really hard, and cannot afford to gain weight back. So any support will be appreciated. It will help me when I have my "I want to eat everything in site days" to go to friends who will talk me back down.

I'd LOVE to trade receipts and exercise tips. I'm actually getting pretty good at it, but my friends (who are all very thin) are getting sick of talking about this all the time. Anyway - I hope to hear from the two of you so that the three of us can CONTINUE to lose weight!

So -- how did everyone do over the weekend? Weekends are the hardest part for me. I did horribly! I have been sick, and decided that I should just "feed a cold", but that I should gourge the cold with anything that walked in front of me. I even ate peanut butter cookies from the local bakery. And HOT DARN - they were worth every bite!

BUT - i'm back on the wagon, eating well and exercising.
