Talking My first post here!

Well, here I am! Guess I should introduce myself. My name is Liana. I'm 24, and a SAHM to 2 kids, Sam age 3 1/2, and Kenzie age 6 mos. Before my last pregnancy I was 220 pounds. I did good though and only gained 10 pounds, so I was 230 the day she was born. After that the weight just fell off, and in a few months with little to no effort I was down to 200! Just recently I broke the 200 mark, and now I'm at 197!! I feels so good to be in the 100's again, the first time for me since high school when I weighed about 180.

I am not following any specific diet plan, just trying to eat healthy, cut back portions, and get more active. We just bought bicycles yesterday, so we'll be doing a lot of that this summer. It's fun, but I hadn't realized how out of shape I am! I'm pooped after only a block or 2.

Look forward to joining!

Wink Hang in there!

Hi Liana, great job on the weight loss! I bought a bicycle last summer and I had a lot of fun. What do people mean when they say, "its just like riding a bicycle?" I don't think any of these people have actually ridden one in a decade or two. Boy is it hard! Don't worry it will get easier. I actually don't ride much anymore b/c of my schedule, etc.--more excuses right? I am 25 and am at the same place you are--197lbs! This is actually the largest I have ever been . About three years ago I met my soulmate and the pounds have just escalated. In the last three years I have gained 50lbs! Today my sister came over and I gave her a bunch of my "skinny" clothes. It was enough to make me sick. Recently I have decided to buckle down and lose the weight. I have tried different diets and excercise programs but nothing I have stuck with. I thought it would help if I had other people to talk to. It's my fourth day on my "new" diet and so far so good. I am recording what I eat and I have joined the gym. All that's left is time and endurance. I'm sure with a little support we will all obtain our goals. "Baby-steps" my fiance' says. Well, good luck Liana, and I hope to read more from you.

Another member in the battle of the bulge,
Michelle

You guys will do it! I started the LA weight loss plan, bought it off ebay, LOL. I am too cheap to go to the center...Anyway, if you guys would like to know some stuff about it I am more then willing to share. I like it, you can do some xpress diets that take the pounds off relatively quick, I lost 3.5 in the first 3 days (with lots of cheating, ice cream and alcohol) he he, no one's perfect, but at least I still lost. I like to walk for my exercise, and I try to do some sit-ups, pilates, and belly dancing (at home) to keep me active. Keep up the great work, and keep in touch!

Hi all,

I am also a SAHM to a 6 yr old little boy. I put on a lot of weight after I had him (go figure) and have been trying ever since to get it off for good. I recently began counting calories and I have lost 11 lbs. I have lost it slowly, but it has stayed off thankfully. My husband is also trying to lose weight and he has lost less than I have and looks thinner anyway, which is sorta discouraging but I'm still pushing forward lol. I have been trying to cut my cals and portions and eat some healthier foods and exercise, which I still need to improve. I get online daily and if anyone would like to talk just let me know, nice to see I am not alone in this!!
