Unhappy No Excuses

NO EXCUSES!!!!! HI, my name is lory and i'm fat. I have no excuses as to why i'm fat. I live alone so I can't blame others for my bad eating habbits. Like many others I have tryed may diet plans and pills with little or no results.

This has to be my year to loss weight or die of a heart attack.

I work 5 days a week from 8 am. to 4 pm. I don't eat breakfast, I find that if I eat, I eat all day long. For lunch I find myself at burger king most days eating the number 10#. When I get home I change into sweat pants sit on the couch and eat until bed time. So now I weigh 238 as of this morning. I would like to weigh 150.

I'm going to start in the morning. I will be tring the weight loss program tehy have been trying us to do for many years eat less and exersice. I will be eating more protein and less carbs. ( Ieat a lot of carbs, most of my meals are all carbs) no more fast food, no more coke

Exersice: I have everything I need in fron of the t.v. so I won't miss any of my shows, I find that when I do workout it seems to make the workout easier.(NO EXCUSES WHY I DON'T WORKOUT because i'm not watching the clock. I plan to workout 5 nites a week 3 nites cardio, 2 nites weight training ( 1 nite waist down and 1 nite waist up) at least for now until I build myself up. I have the Orbitrek I love it. ( I don't hurt) but it gets my heart pumping hard and I can only do a minute I get so angry with myself because i'm so out of shape.

Thats all for now. Wish me luck
Lory

Welcome to 3FC! You do sound like you are off to a great start, by identifying where you go wrong, and taking action I would like to suggest that you start eating breakfast. Skipping breakfast is a common mistake, but it hurts weight loss more than helping it. Studies show that people that do not eat breakfast are more likely to be overweight.

Good luck!

Hi Lory,

Good for you for working towards a positive, healthy goal. I just checked into the buddy section of this website to get myself back on track. I started here in August at 210 and last weighed myself in mid December at 176 (34 down!). Christmas really did me in. I haven't weighed myself but can feel the gain in my lethargy and my pants. I'm ready though to get back on track and I can't tell you how great it feels to shed those pounds. It means nicer clothes, more energy, probably a longer life and just general well being.

I lost the weight by counting calories, eating healthy (protein, low carb, lots of non fat yogurt fresh fruit smoothies, almonds for energy and to fill up (1/4 cup a day) and salads for lunch every day. I virtually cut out sweets and alcohol). Christmas showed me that food plays a large roll for me and with all the family get togethers etc. I resorted to food for comfort which is my biggest eating issue. Anyways I'm reading the web site today to get lots of energy and inspiration to get back on track towards my goal of 150 (or even a little less). I'm looking forward to shopping for some beautiful spring clothes in three months.

You can do it. You'll have lots of cheerleaders here!
