Default Do you count olive oil in your points?

I'm trying to combine WW with some guidelines of a low-carb diet. I'm trying to not only lose weight, but do it healthfully. Anyways, i've always used olive oil in a lot of things I eat, because it is good for your heart and has no cholesterol. I don't count it, because if I did I would be waaay over my points. I sautee my vegetables in it (no more than 1 tbs.) And grill meats with it. Do you think my weight loss will be stalled from using it, even though it's carb-free and good for you?

Today for lunch I have a wee bit of ahi tuna left over that I placed on a bed of mache (lettuce like green). I used 1 t. of olive oil to dress the greens, so I count it as 3.

However, for as much as a T for sauteeing veggies and grilling meats (why? do you use olive oil to grill meats, doesn't meat have inherent amounts of oil?, maybe a small drizzle, but then again, I am the food snob). I would definitely count it as what it is, oil/fats/etc.

Adding oil to your diet is important, lots of folks forget that. Make sure its a high quality oil.

I would count it. Fat is part of WW. It allows for fats of all kinds. 1TBS of olive oil = 3 points. But you can put olive oil in on of those air inducing cans they sell at Trader Joes and treat it like any other spray oil (Like Pam spray). It is 0 points for five 1 second sprays. I think Pam spray also has an olive oi variety.

By the way. When we grill a roast, we put olive oil on it. We use a dark olive oil, not a light one (which I use to spray my pans and such). Then we sprinkle it lightly with salt and peeper. It makes all the difference with the olive oil than without.

Yes you do count everything you eat or use to cook in. It has calories and fat which are 2 of the elements to figure points.
