I've been out to the grocery store for a few items and now I will plan on not doing much else. Maybe I will find the wind chime and bird bath to put outside.
Yesterday was crazy productive with cleaning, laundry and yard work. I even prepped for weekday breakfast by making quiche and the PB muffins for DH.
Tonight we are avoiding the restaurant crowds and grilling steak. I think I will thaw some shrimp for shrimp cocktail too.
Have a wonderful hike Pearlrose! Glad you had a successful day yesterday.
I wonder what happened to my post yesterday ??? this is the second time I posted something and when I come back the next day is gone. Maybe I never hit the "post quick reply" button.
We wake up to a cloudy and wet morning. It is supposed to rain all day and pretty much that is the forecast for the rest of the week After kids are gone to school, I need to drop DH at the airport and then go to the mall to do some returns. I also need to stop at Ulta to buy some face sunblock and a mascara and then go grocery shopping. I do hope it is not raining too bad. I hate driving in the rain.
We don't have anything plan this evening, the boys need to study for their EOC exams and I need to either schedule a groomers appointment or bath the dog.
Crazy busy day at work today, I started my cleanse and the worse part is the caffeine headache from not having diet sodas (they were creeping back into my diet), other than that going well. Tonight DD2 has guard practice and I have a hair cut.
Beth glad you had a productive day on Saturday. We also grilled out yesterday versus going to a restaurant.
Isa sounds like you had a lot of running around to do, hope it didn't rain too hard
We headed to the laundromat early to clean then decided to have a go at putting some gaskets. Got one fixed so went to Denver for more. We were basking in our success when the tenant next-door came to report a leak in our a joining buildings. I ended up on the roof cleaning out a gutter guard pretty muddy. I think that will fix that. Then my sister wanted to go across the divide to do some shopping so did that. Now I’m home going to help her and my nephew paint.
I have still stayed on my plans for the most part eating a very tiny dinner with the family since we have company. Had a little salad for lunch along with my green drink and only ate half. Feeling good.
Rose, good luck with your new plan!
Isa, I scheduled a groomers appointment then canceled it and did this one myself. She still looks a little shaggy. Hope your evening is quiet
Beth, great job getting your meals prepped for the week. Wish I could get to that point. I think I may have better motivation after I finish this cleanse.
OK, I better get moving so I don’t miss out on the paint party. See you all tomorrow!
Just a usual Monday here but it was a beautiful sunny day so I will take it. I spent a few minutes dead-heading daffodils after work today; it's always nice to get outside.
Sounds like everyone had a busy day! I am drinking extra water and watching my food choices today after a few treats yesterday. It is so easy for weight to spike upwards and tougher to make it go down.
We had a bit of excitement last night, storms came through and broke a branch off our front tree and it landed on power line and was on fire for a bit so had the firetrucks come out. It finally start sparking, we only lost power for a blip and then it stayed on. This morning the branch was on the ground so not sure if power company or who got it off the power line. I went to bed early was very tired. Feeling much better already and headache is almost gone, teach me to quit drinking soda lol. Scale is already moving down so happy about that.
Debbie wow your schedule is busy, hope the gutter clean was the fix. Good luck on your plan too, mine is a 9 day I like it because it is basically Phase 1.5 but follows a specific eating pattern and less calories than normal
Beth I am trying to drink only water and herbal teas.
Wow Rose! What excitement! I hope that’s it for awhile!
Me, just working on my sisters project. It went from bad to worse and now she’s procrastinating. We are at Starbucks right now. Think we are in for a meltdown....hubby is not happy with me since he’s not getting any attention. Oh well. Still on my cleanse.
Rose, I am SO glad the last few storms in our area have missed us. I find it easier to go without power during the winter since I can put the food outside. Glad there wasn't more damage. Sounds like you are kicking the soda habit; I can't imagine my headache if I gave up coffee.
Debbie, here's wishing you success on the project.....and an understanding DH.
Not much going on here today, just work and normal stuff. Weight was back down to last Friday's weight; it is amazing how water retention shifts that scale! We had quite a rainy day but now the sun is out.
Just checking back in to say that the project got better. Think we will avoid a meltdown. My sister has a lot on her mind right now. I brought in my girl from the laundromat and she’s working with us helping us clean up all the dust from sanding. Her sophomore son is out happily digging weeds and may work out to be a part-time gardener for my sister. All is well. Came home to check in and I’m headed back.
Looks like we are finally back in the 80s weather wise. Still doing the cleanse, headache is gone yeah! Weight is still going down, I may have a loss this month.... Today is finally a full wfh day so I can get caught up on some reports I need to do, I do have a couple of conference calls today. Nothing on the agenda this evening.
Debbie glad the project is going better and things are settling down, hope DH is understanding of you being stretched in different directions
Beth it always amazes me how much water retention adds to the scale as well. I was thankful we did not lose power for longer period.
I’ve been busy all day have finally made it home, hopefully for a nap. I need a recharge. Took care of some pressing items on my list, businesswise. Purchased some tomato plants when I was in Denver taking our nephew to the airport this morning. I don’t know if it will cool down enough for me to find energy to work in the yard this evening or not. Perhaps first thing in the morning.
I strayed from my food protocol for lunch today. I think right now the most important thing for me to do is get a little rest and get right back on the plan.
Hey chicks. Another work day has come and gone; did my exercise and got a haircut afterwards. We are certainly closing in on the end of the year and test time. Knowing next weekend is Memorial Day is nice!
Debbie, glad the projects are going well and that you found worker!
Pearlrose, good job staying on your cleanse. So gratifying to see the scale move!
Today is DD2 last day of school, she doesn't have to final exams since she has straight A's, so proud of her. WFH for me but lots of conference calls for me today. Still going good on the cleanse, can tell a difference in my body that's for sure. Nothing on the agenda for tonight, DH is going to watch Deadpool, I opted out of that one.
Debbie glad you are taking some me time, I actually took a 30 minute nap yesterday, never do that but really needed it.
Beth I am excited for Memorial weekend too, we are going up to Michigan for one of my nieces weddings and will get to see all of my family.
Another busy day here today. I haven't walk much this week, allergies are really bad. It has rained every day all day this week, and I am not sure if the humidity has anything to do but my arthritis has flare up and the inflammation is bad.
This morning I have to clean the house and do laundry, then I have to go to the school for the Honors Convocations. I haven't schedule the groomers appointment, so I better do that this morning. I can give him a bath, but he really needs a trim... poor dog.
I am going to have to revise my eating habits, lately allergies have been bad. I was checking my old allergy blood test and I noticed that I also have a high allergy to birch. I checked and if you have birch pollen allergy there are a lot of food that can cause you allergy. I am always congested and with itchy throat, nose, and eyes. Most of the foods in the list I eat daily... no wonder my allergies never go away
