Good Morning!

Just a standard week here. I thought I'd get us started on the computer upstairs which means no coffee yet. I'm headed down right now. We have family company coming for a week on the 1st and I'm planning on a few days in Glenwood this week so I'm going to clean something every morning and avoid the rush. Wednesday will be dedicated to the yard....weeding a bit. Everything else is looking pretty good.

Work comes early today so I guess I'm going to go enjoy my morning coffee on the porch.

Have a great start to the week everyone!

Good morning Debbie and chicks to come. Thank you for starting us off this week. Hope you got to enjoy your coffee before heading in.

Today is going to be gorgeous here! I am off to the grocery store soon (wee after I get out of my PJ's) Later the dentist. I planned on a bike ride, but may putter around the house and yard this afternoon. The weeds are taking over the place!

There will only be clean eating until I leave for Georgia. I wasn't terrible this weekend, but not my normal and I am feeling it today.

Have a great day!

Good morning, chicks! This is a full week of vacation for me; did I mention I am working part time at summer school starting right after the 4th? The weather looks lousy for the next few days so I will try to do some weeding and fit in walks in between rain drops. This morning DH and I will also go to the farm stand and look for some local strawberries. I want to put some in the freezer. I should probably cut some rhubarb and freeze it before it is gone.

Jennifer, I need to seriously assess my eating and figure out how to maintain and still accommodate the realities of life (ie too many special events and traveling). Enjoy your day off. I am sure you are still floating on cloud 9 thinking about DS!

Debbie, my house also needs a good cleaning, maybe I will also try the "something every day" strategy. During the thick of the school year it is more like a Saturday morning whirlwind! Hope work is calm.

Happy Monday to all the other chicks!

Good afternoon,

Picked up DH at the airport at midnight, got home at 1 a.m. and turned around and went into work at 6 a.m. this morning. The good news is the presentation to the new CIO went well. I am not back at home since DD2 has a school physical today since she starts 9th grade this fall. (where did the time go) Eating has been op since Friday and scale is slowly coming back down from trip. Trying to get back down to lowest before we leave for the cruise in August.

Debbie sounds like you have a plan

Jekel good luck at the dentist

Beth how long does summer school run?

Weird I went back and looked at last weeks post and don't see anything from our newer chicks recently ...was enjoying our new company

Hey all!

I'm back. I got sick as a dog and pretty much just laid low here the last week.

Jennifer - yahoo to your son! So happy for all of you, I know you were on pins and needles!

My son got his official job offer today. I literally jumped up and down in the kitchen - lol. We went out looking for apartments for him Friday. Funny, the 3 of us each liked a different place. But we don't have to live there, he does, so what he picked was fine, and I got why he chose it. Once he responded to the job offer he submitted the rental application. Words cannot express how excited and overwhelmed I am for him. Plus, he'll be in northern virginia, not far from us, and I know he'll love it there.

I'm holding steady on the weight. Once my thyroid went bonkers, then I got the world's nastiest ear infection, I count myself lucky I didn't blow back up. I had wanted to lose 10 lbs in 4 weeks, and since the wheels fell off the wagon, I'm just getting back up and on it again. But in the world of small favors, I think it was good for me to stop and feel comfortable at my new weight. I was feeling so great and thin, it was making me losing some steam. Now I'm used to feeling like this, I don't feel so thin now, and I know I'd feel better getting to a healthy weight.

Good morning chickies!

Looks like I was last and first today!

I'm sticking to the plan and getting back to the exercise. We're going to Iceland next Friday and one of the things we're doing is a helicopter tour. To book it we have to give the weight of each passenger. This may be the first time I wasn't mortified about what they were thinking when they got the reservation. It will be 45 - 55 while we're there so it's time to dig out some warm clothes.

Oh dear! I am having trouble getting in here first thing in the a.m. I just seem able to check the sire for spammers and the day gets ahead of me. Things won't improve for a while, I'm afraid.

Today our minister, aka "Pastorina Lynne=, will be here at 9 for a pre-wedding check-in. Need to have all the documents and the order of service firmed up. Then I have a perio appointment at 4 which will grab a hunk out of my day. Sure hope things ease up soon or there will be one draggy bride on The Day. I do hope to get the wedding checklist started today and will also plan an easy supper and early bed. Some ironing is also planned - wedding outfit needs touching up but I may leave that until just before the event. (Weight is up a pound after the fancy-dancy quilters luncheon yesterday which was great and very tasty, alas!)

Once again, no time for personals but see everyone seems to be in change of their meals - wish I could day the same for me.

On we go!

Good morning, chicks.

Just a quick check in; I want to get some laundry going and then I have a hair appointment this morning. Looks like I will not be able to take advantage of the morning sunshine and we are supposed to get more rain this afternoon! boo hoo I did get a little weeding done yesterday but there is always more! I am actually considering re-arranging one of my flower beds to make it a bit smaller. I never seem to be able to keep up with them.

Have a good day!

Good morning,

I went to bed very early last night and for the most part slept through this morning, feel so much better. Went for morning walk, it was crisp 53 degrees and sunny beautiful, I am sure we will make it up to the 80s but the humidity has been low the past few days and I am loving it. Still eating op.

Amy sorry to hear that your were not feeling good last week, glad you are feeling better. Iceland sounds like a fun trip

Ruth I need to start planning DD2 birthday which is on the same day as your wedding so I know it's creeping up Won't be long and you will be a married lady and can settle into a more routine schedule (hopefully)

Beth weeding is a never ending story that's for sure

Have a great day everyone!

Beth I thought about weeding yesterday but that's as far as I got. Enjoy your pampering today getting your hair done.

Amy a trip to Iceland sounds exciting. I know a few people who have been and loved it.

Pearlrose amazing how quickly HS comes!!! I am buckling down this week as I want wiggle room for my trip too. Yes I am over the moon with pride and excitement. One week from today I leave for GA! I better stock up on those small tissue packets lol.

Hope everyone has a great time.

Good morning!

I have been up and at-em already. This is my one full day to accomplish lots before nephew arrives on Saturday. Mom has eye appointment tomorrow and I'm going to Glenwood right after.

Scrubbed down the upstairs bathroom. It is just so yuck. I need to remodel which is on the list for some point. They are already starting up the heavy equipment. I was hoping for an hour of peace and quiet in the yard. I think I will transfer my effort to outside for the time being. It's 50° now scheduled to be 79 by one.

I am finally feeling like I can do something mean inside. They are scheduled to start paving the road on 11 July. August 30 makes one year since the road has been closed. It's been a long one. So much dust and noise. Constantly.

Have a great day everyone! I already have my weeding outfit on.

Good morning,

It's started to get hotter again, did my walk and just finished breakfast. WFH today for me with minimal conference calls so should be able to look at some reports today. DH is taking DD2 to see the Little Mermaid at the Muny tonight, debating on going on staying home.

Debbie 1 year went by fast, I am sure not as fast to you

Beth enjoy your day

Jekel one week will fly by I am sure

Have a great day everyone!

Quickie again. Up a pound because of pizza last night!

We have drenching rain here again this morning. I just hope it gets it out of its system before the wedding! (Methinks being piped into the Church won't work if the piper has to carry an umbrella.) Wedding plans are proceeding OK - except dear Bruce has been inviting more "close friends", folks he hasn't seen in ten years. He is very contrite but that still doesn't magically produce more food and space in the Hall. We shall overcome - maybe box lunches in the Park for the overflow?

Today the dogs are going to the groomer and I may carry on to Smiths Falls to shop for needed odds and ends like place cards, good paper napkins and maybe even some groceries. On top of all this pre-Fair schoolwork needs picking up and judging. If and when I survive this time, I am definitely going to retire. In August I will sit on the deck, read and sip gin and tonic. In the meantime ...

Have a good day!

So... got to the groomer's place and realized I had not brought my wallet. Back home and picked up some garden flowers at a friend's greenhouse. Arrived home to a ringing phone to hear the dogs are ready for pick-up so I'll unload the plants, and drive back (after a bank stop) and pick up the furries. Bruce wants to come too to keep me company and get to know how to find the groomer's salon for next time. After a slow start, he is starting to like being a dog daddy to my two charmers.

And so it goes - we shall survive!
