Weather reports predict rain for three days. My goal has to be to get outside for exercise despite the fear of getting a little bit wet. A few years ago, I made my daily walk in any weather - taking pride in the Post Office motto. I've gotten soft as if my clothes aren't waterproof anymore. Sad.
I found another restorative yoga class in my end of the city . Attended my first session yesterday and it was really good. I will make the effort to get to 2 classes per month on Sunday afternoons.
Pull yourself together, Bill! Are you at the stamping in puddles stage with DGD yet?
Dagmar, that sounds very nice indeed. Two a month sounds achievable.
All OK here. The weather continues to be mild. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. I'm making split pea and bacon soup. And I've worked out that as my body has improved immeasurably recently (all the cronky bits are being realigned by my trainer who learns and develops all the time - so good), I can cut down on my exercise. That is, do 30 mins each morning rather than an hour every few days which is too long to fit in. I added heavier weights on Sunday and almost ate the furniture. Why does that happen to me?
Good morning all. Sounds like everyone is off to a good start. Bill-- get moving! (Says gently)
I walked outside with the dogs and realized the off and on again rain was on. So, very short walk indeed. Our drought is WAY over. I'm sick and tired of the rain.
Dh came home yesterday from China. He goes to Atlanta tomorrow for the rest of the week but at least he'll be fairly local and then hopefully be home for awhile. He managed to get both of our TV's working with our new cable after I tried unsuccessfully for hours upon hours on Saturday so he's my hero!
My goal today is to get back to body pump (weight lifting). I tend to skip it for many excuses (the ones in my head today are that my back is hurting and I'm not sure if I'm ready after all my recent illnesses). I plan on getting out of my head and going-- if I have to lift lighter, so be it.
A wet Monday here, but no complaints! It's been raining off and on for days, but I believe this is the last of it. The rain cleared up enough that the Career Builder golf tournament had no delays, but it did force the Obama's to land 2 hours away last Friday.
ETA: My son just called. He just found out that he is graduating from college a quarter early! No more tuition! And now he has to find a job.
