Nutrisystem delivery vs 110 deg Summer heat?

  • I am thinking about Nutrisystem. But, I live in Arizona where our Summer heat can easily get up to 110 deg daily. I work. I am concerned about food delivery. There is no shady spot on my porch.

What do other's do in hot areas of the country?

  • Are you talking about the more expensive Nutrisystem plan with frozen foods or just the shelf-stable stuff? I definitely wouldn't have frozen food delivered in 110 degree heat, even with the dry ice pouches. Can you imaging how hot it gets in the back of the delivery truck?

If it's just the shelf-stable stuff, you should be okay as that doesn't have to be refrigerated. I didn't like the taste of the non-frozen meals though. The frozen ones taste much better!
  • If the delivery is UPS, you can schedule pick up times. Or, just have them hold the delivery and you can pick it up. Or, maybe leave a cooler on the porch with a note for the mail person?
