I'm up and have lots to do before work. I didn't get bills paid last week and deadlines are quickly approaching. I don't think I mentioned it will all the goings on last week but I am going to Moab, Ut with my sis and a friend for a bike event Friday-Monday. I actually took 3 days off from work. It's a fund raising event for cancer and I'm going to be the support vehicle for the girls. We rented a house and it should be fun. I'm taking my bike for short rides and may get a few short hikes in Arches Natl. Park. Also on the agenda....DH got the call from his cousin that the plan is for them to go to Denmark the 2nd week of April. Lots to do before then. I ordered his new shoes last night.
Have a great Monday everyone! I'm going to enjoy some coffee inbetween bill-pays.
Busy day here too, Debbie, and the dog alarm didn't go off until 6 for a change. I am due at Quilting at 9 and need to do a few things before then. Sure glad I made and froze the rum cake during the past week!
Angus goes home today and things will be a bit easier around here. He is a really nice dog but rather spoiled and needy. I really don't want 48 pounds of dog on my lap every time I sit down! He's nearly 18 months but acts like a puppy. Millie adores him and vice versa but Jazz clamps down on any rough stuff although they do do boy stuff together in the yard - like barking at cats and squirrels and sassy blue jays! His family land in Albany around 2 this afternoon and will drive from there to get their "baby". They are all full of the darned cold/flu so I will have a pot of my super chicken/veggie/rice soup ready for their supper. I suggested they go straight home to bed and get Angus tomorrow but they really miss their dog and he misses them. So....
Wonderful Liz and Moel came down yesterday afternoon and I now can print! Facebook is still "no go" but Liz set me up on my phone. Now I can plan a trip to town for ink cartridges. I was holding off in case I had to buy a new printer. It sure has been strange to not print anything but the paper recycling bin is nice and empty and the shredder is sleeping soundly!
Looks like a Spring week ahead. I expect to see a lot less snow by next weekend. Enjoy!
Enjoy your day, Ruth. Glad to hear Angus is going home and your family will be back to normal. I'm so used to my pups that when others get added it is certainly more chaotic and a big break in the routine, for sure.
Ok, bills paid so I can head down and have more coffee and perhaps enjoy a game of Sudoku before making smoothie/lunch and getting laundry folded.
Good morning early birds! Just popping in to say happy Monday.
Just another Monday which is okay with me; normal work stuff on the agenda. Both of my boys have their spring breaks coming up so we will have "company" coming in and out. Their breaks only overlap by a weekend so I am hoping they will get a chance to see each other.
Debbie, I did all my bill paying and bank stuff over the weekend. Funny how quickly the money flows out!
Ruth, that's nice of you to make soup for the family. Enjoy your day.
Getting ready to head into the office this morning. The rain has started. Got a call from the school yesterday evening that the 4th grader who had been battling cancer passed away. So sad when they are so young. This evening DD2 has chorus concert at school.
Debbie your weekend trip sounds like a lot of fun. I am starting to plan California trip in June. I have a conference there and we are going to extend and enjoy a vacation while we are there.
Ruth glad that Angus is coming home to his family today, will give you a bit of a break. Nice of you to make soup.
Beth when does your first DS come home? We have a couple of weeks to go til Spring Break, we will be going down to Mississippi to visit my parents.
Good morning seems like bill paying is the theme of the day. I will tackle mine later. Today looks like a keeper and I plan on enjoying it. My mind has been in a fog lately. Jim, my neighbor, texted and asked me if I could look for their cat who escaped when he let Rylee out. So I go over, take Rylee out, when I came back in the cat was in the dining room. I let him know she was fine. Well dumb dumb me was on Facebook and realized they were in Florida!!! I am house/pet sitting. I thought they were leaving on the 12th!!! Big oops on my part. Wouldn't you know it the cat got out on me last night! I convinced her to come back in, but I think she is an escape artist like Jazz. Rylee is on a diet, she is down to 104 from 112! Her goal weight is 90, she is a yellow lab. With the nice weather Rylee and I will be getting some good walks in since mine want no part of that ever lol.
Debbie I wish I were going with you and your sister. Sounds like a great time. Take lots of pics!
Ruth I'm sure your guys will miss Angus, but be happy to have you all to themselves.
Beth it will be nice for you having the boys home together. Will they be coming home for the summer? When do they graduate?
Today the big plan is an outdoor bike ride. Been waiting all winter. I will go shortly before lunch as I want it to warm up just a tad first. I do need to change the darn light bulb over the garage. Certainly not my favorite thing to do. The chair and ottoman fit perfectly in Joe's truck. It was nice staying home and cooking. The grill will get another workout today as I plan to road a spaghetti squash later.
Holy cow you girls are chatty for this early on a Monday morning!!
Debbie - we rented a house in Moab too a few years ago, it would be a hoot if it were the same one! We drove over to Zion and a whole bunch of other places. Enjoy!
It sure is freakin' cold here this AM. Like Jennifer, I am pet sitting too - just the neighbor's cat. He is not a very nice kitty, but he must be very lonely. Not only did I see him today (they left Wednesday), I even was able to pet him! Without getting bit! I'm taking a little break now, then need to feed my own critters. A friend will be here at 8:30 to help escort me to my appointment today (near Linda, but unfortunately she has to work, darned it!), and I have to drop the kids off at a friend's before then.
