Shhh - everyone is asleep including my dogs who woke me before 4 a.m. with an urgent request to go out. I've learned to obey their commands.
The election is over, we have a new government and Prime Minister and life can now thud back to normal. I wonder how long it will take before the political signs are pulled and we can enjoy what's left of fall in this beautiful area without seeing red, blue, orange and green signs in very scenic places.
No appointments or specific plans for today. It'll be a sort of catching up day. I definitely plan to make a turkey and veggie soup and tackle some of the mess in the "studio" since Michelle comes Thursday and I promised her it'd be ready for an in-depth cleaning. I love days when what I do is planned by me with no "musts" hanging over my head.
I'm being very quiet here sitting outside drinking my coffee. I decided last night that there wasn't anything worth getting up early for so I'm making sure that Lori can sleep in since I leave early this morning. We need to get over the hill again and so my plan for today is to come home and get off my feet for an hour or so while laundry cycles and we will pack up the car and head over. Her surgery is Thursday so we can both use as much rest as we can get right now.
Ruth, Thanks for getting us started and I hope you're super enjoy your day which is lacking in official obligations.
Good morning Ruth thanks for starting us off. My two are still snuggled in their bed. Guess no one wants a belly rub. Glad you don't have any "musts." today.
My Inspector asked me to cover him this morning at a meeting. At least the meeting is at Penn. I am up super early to get a workout in before my long day. I had a nice talk with Joe last night at dinner. He really doesn't have much time for anything these days. His contractor, who is a friend, is holding him up from getting the utilities hooked up. It is getting quite frustrating.
Oh well coffee is hot and life is good. Here's to a great day!
Nothing special on the agenda today, which is fine by me. We have much more temperate temperatures today so I don't even need to warm up and scrape the car this morning.
Ruth, hope your day stays calm. Debbie, thoughts and prayers for you and your friend. Jennifer, hot coffee always makes the start to the day better! Hope your workday is smooth.
Ruth - funny, I didn't even see anything online re: your elections. I bet you don't have the same privilege with us, eh? Turkey soup sounds delish, I cooked down the rest of the chicken from last night and am making chicken and rice soup today.
Debbie - you are a wonderful friend, I hope she knows that.
Jennifer - glad you had a nice talk last night!
Beth - hope today stays nice and quiet for you.
I just saw the star wars trailer....I'm normally not excited to see movies, but I am this one! I hated crowded theaters, so I'll probably wait til it dies down again. But Harrison Ford is still in it....*sigh*.
Today is my wedding anniversary, and we were just saying what a year it's been, certainly a trial for anyone married! We're just doing dinner out tonight, which is special enough for both of us . I was just thinking I should put make up on for him, but I don't even have any anymore, Ooops....
Good morning. It was hard to get up this morning since my bed was so snug and cozy.
I'm glad your day is looking uneventful, Ruth, and hope you get to relax and savor your turkey soup. Debbie, bless you for taking such good care of your friend and being there for her! I pray her surgery goes well. Jennifer, I admire your motivation to get a workout in before your long day of work! Beth, have a good day, and enjoy the warmth!
Karen, I've been thinking of you and hope all is well.
It's supposed to be warmer here today, and by the end of the week we could see 80*. My peppers are toast after Sunday night's hard frost. I was pulling out vines and cleaning up the garden at the farm yesterday, and was surprised to find 2 beautiful zucchini!
Good morning, Tammy!

I forgot to say - I loved the doctor that I saw yesterday for the consult for the sleep study. Especially because he agreed with me, no use in having one done. WOO HOO!!
Happy anniversary, Tammy! Waving hi to everyone else! I'm sitting in my car waiting for the boss. It's 12 minutes until we open. He should be here soon. LOL Yep. See y'all later
Another beautiful day here, I am wfh today which is good because DD2 has Chorus concert this evening so I can help get her ready for it (ie do her hair lol)
Ruth yeah for me days and happy for you that elections are over, I wish ours was already

Jekel hope your day goes by quickly
Beth I have not had to scrape car yet thank goodness
Tywnn glad to hear you don't have to do sleep study
Karen, I've been thinking of you and hope all is well.
Thanks, Linda. I'm slowly healing but suspect I'll have a swollen, sore bb for quite a while. Going to try to talk with the doctor who did my first biopsy to make sure I understand what happened and why she thinks they can get it right the next time. Have an appointment with another doctor next week for second opinion.
Our house guests left yesterday and I was back at work. I have mostly put the place back in order. Still need to vacuum, which is usually DH's job, but he's at his mom's all week except for sleeping at home Wednesday night. Today I am getting my hair colored. Still trying to decide how to trim it so that it can best grow out after my hairdresser retires in December. Book club tonight.
