Default Seriously, is it my age?

I'm only 41! Come ON!

WHY is this 5lbs not going anywhere? One day, it's -2. Then it's back up +3. Then it's still -0 for days, and days and days.....what gives?

This 5lbs is a big deal to me. It will break me out of a mental plateau of epic proportion. It will show me a number on the scale that I haven't seen since 2000!!!!!!! COME ON!!!!!! WHY OH WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!

Exhale.

I calorie count, I do cardio 3 days a week and weight train 3 days a week. It's been working for months. I drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest, I do everything my trainer says. The scale wont move. I'm just not going to use the scale for a month. I think that might help me, mentally. I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

Sounds like a big plateau,I am 43 and have the same up and down but hang in there. One foot in front of the other, and love yourself and be proud of your progress. Maybe you need to up your calories by 100.

Eat more. Rest more. Listen to your body. Love it as it is. Know that it is wise.

And then mix up the exercise. Been running? Swim, etc. Been lifting weights? Try doing an obstacle course.

I just saw this... did you break the plateau? The trainer at our gym is always telling us to change the workout routine when you hit a plateau. I hope you already broke thru in big way, but I thought I'd offer my .02.
