Hello from Canada

  • Hey everyone!

I'm a new member to this forum, but like many others , I'm not new to dieting.

The older I get, the harder it is to keep off weight, especially with a busy career. I don't have time for as many proper meals and work outs as I'd enjoy. Because of this, I've dieted many times, and none of them have worked.

I've looked into many different guides, self help books and videos, nothing has TRULY helped, so I'm hoping some motivation from my fellow ladies will kickstart something within me.

  • Welcome!

I think one thing that I've learned is that implementing small changes can lead to large results. So focusing on walking 10 minutes/day may be one thing to try or incorporating more veggies into your meals or something.

I do hope you find the support you need here though
  • McSunC! This is a great place to come for support on beginning a new path of healthy eating and exercise! Everyone here knows how you feel. We know how it is to feel overwhelmed with a busy schedule. We know how it is to start and stop a diet (a few times for some of us). We know how it is to really want it but to struggle with motivation to do what it takes to reach that goal. You are among friends! So take a look around and jump right in with us! You'll be glad you did!
  • Welcome MsSunC. You've come to the right place. Settle yourself in and you will find loads of help.

What's worked for me with my weight loss is knowing that the fad diets don't work and that the more I move the more comes off. As Nelie said, add in veggies and do as much clean eating as possible. Cut out the junk as much sugar as possible and eat small frequent meals (5-6 a day). This gets your metabolism going and along with exercise will get those pounds coming off. Good luck and again, welcome
  • Thanks for the tips all, really motivating!
