I weigh every two days...

  • So I've lost about 11 lbs in under two weeks. Then today (my official two weeks) I gained 1.5 pounds? Anything reason why that could be without me altering my food?
  • Just to understand, you mean you gained 1.5 pounds between your last self-weigh in and your official weigh in, but still lost weight this week?

This could be due to a number of reasons- water retention, time of day, difference between your scale and the clinic scale (if you use a clinic), food still in your intestines, etc. If you saw any loss for this week, it's not something to worry about.

My only worry is that you're weighing yourself too often and need to concentrate on your weekly gains, and not the time in-between. You've had this concern several times, and it's only week two. Your weight is going to fluctuate throughout the week, even by 1.5 pounds. My weight does the same thing. So does everyone else's. You don't need to read into it as much as you are. If this is still a concern to you, you need to step off the scale and concentrate on weekly weigh ins.
  • I second the shark; until you can wrap your head around the fluctuations it's best to only weigh in 1x week.

I can flux as much as 4 pounds depending on time of day, water intake, etc. this is a great article to help understand what happens:

  • Don't weigh yourself too often. It will play mind games with you and it is best to stick with one scale, so if you are weighing in at a clinic keep your weigh-ins to there.
  • I'm +/- 2lbs every single day. The scale bounces all week, and the WI result is purely coincidental on the nominated day. As long as the trend is downwards over the weekly period (or you are measuring other things - body fat percentage or physical measurements) then you're perfectly normal like everyone else.

Try and relax or the stress hormones will put a crimp in the losses you might have. This isn't a race, it's a journey.
