Hi there!
I have been lurking for a few weeks but this is my first post. I'm excited to be here and to discover and share tips on this journey of weight loss and being healthy!
I am 42 and had injured myself 2 years ago. I had to have 3 knee surgeries over a period of three months. I have had major issues with both knees and with walking since then. At the time of my injury, I was about 180, but my weight had slowly but surely crept up to 276 - so I gained 96 pounds in two years. When I realized I was almost 300 pounds, I knew something had to give. My mom shared the IP diet with me and I also started swimming for exercise. I am so happy and excited to report that I am having tremendous results! I have lost 28 pounds so far and I feel amazing. Due to the swimming, I am walking better than I have in 2 years and losing weight is helping me all the more. My goal is to get down to 150, which is a size 8 for me. I am 5' 8". I know I can do it with this plan!!
I am enjoying cooking more than I ever have before because I don't have guilt anymore about what I am cooking. I love knowing that every single thing I put in my mouth is 100% healthy and is helping me get better and lose weight!! And there are some fantastic recipes out there that taste great! It doesn't have to be bland or boring.
I want to encourage those who may be thinking about doing the IP diet but haven't committed yet. It DOES work and you will feel fantastic! I promise.
