Default Isn't it funny how the 2nd time is fatter?

It's interesting how the second time at the same weight is fatter.

Something only a re-gainer would understand.

The first time I was at this weight, when I was losing weight, I felt so skinny. I felt really good and I thought i looked really good too. But then when I gained the weight, and I hit that mark again the second time, I felt like a heifer and I thought I looked like one too!

Today I am at that weight again, my 3rd visit, and I feel good. I look at myself in the mirror, and I don't see that same frumpy, rolly-polly heifer I saw when I visited the weight going upwards.

It's just really kind of weird to think about.

Yup! When I was in high school, my high weight was around 160, but I was pretty happy with my body mostly. I liked how I looked in pictures. I never thought I was "the fat one" really although sometimes I wanted to be thinner.

Lost the weight down into the 130s about 10 years ago, then in the last couple years I swung back up to 155. It seems like I looked HUGE at 155 this time compared to how I looked at 160 10 years ago.

Part of that is perception and I think part is general body shape. When I was a kid, I was 160 from overeating, but I was reasonably active, compared to last year when I was 155 from sitting on my butt more than overeating. 17 year old me probably had more muscle definition than 27 year old me did, even though the weights are similar.

Im only 23 so im hoping it'll bounce back just enough to make me feel better i dont mind loose skin i mind obvious loose skin. :/

I am glad you are appreciating where you are right now, twinieten. When I was at this weight before, I was thrilled! Felt so skinny! I kept going - lost more - but gained back to here. Now this weight feels big and frumpy. I am trying to remember how pleased I was to be here before. It's getting easier to be in a good place with it, now that the scale is moving the right way again.

Yes! I'm 50, have lost weight and put it back on 4 times since my teen years. Each time I feel fatter, ie., the percentage of fat in the body mass has increased. :-(
