Default TGIF Friday Beach Chat, August 15

Good Morning

Happy Friday everyone!

I wanted to extend my official welcome to wismom49! Glad you've joined us on the daily thread!

It's going to be a beautiful day here! We had rain yesterday afternoon but fortunately it didn't start until I was heading back up the hill. I heard Denver had some minor flooding.

I've got a bounce around day here. I need to get stuff done at moms, yet I have priorities of my own. I went to bed early and when the time came I wasn't sleeping I got up and got all of my newly acquired veggies washed and put away. Costco has an organic spray these days which makes it easy. I forgot to get another bottle when I was there yesterday but I didn't forget to add 8 more pounds of organic coffee to my stash.

What's happening in your neck of the woods? Stop and say hi

Good morning Debbie! Hope all your bouncing goes well today.

I felt a bit weird not in on the daily thread yesterday...kept assuming someone was starting it yesterday morning, then BOOM!, it was time to go to work!

(does anyone else keep getting this "do you want to open voicefivedotcom" when on 3fatchicks?!)

I can't believe it's Friday already, this week has gone really quickly. (OH! THere's a hawk on our porch roof!! <----it was a juvenile, and mama kept swooping over it....it had jumped down and was perched on some drift wood on our back porch!)

That was cool! Anyway, nothing exciting here. My frozen chili was delicious, I'm really glad I pulled that out. I've not planned meals at all today, you know that can be bad. (oh, there's leftover beans in fridge...grilled chicken...)

Have a great day y'all. I need to get going and stop babbling!

Good Friday morning, Debbie, and thanks for starting us up. As usual, you have a busy day ahead.

Hi, Tammy. Yesterday was strange! No, I didn't get that message. Actually I never get pop-ups. Neat about the baby bird.

We are wet, cold and gloomy here but I plan to overcome the weather and get cracking! I don't know how I'd survive living on the Wet Coast where it's like this all winter. At least you don't need to shovel rain though and my car is always clean!

This morning I am going over to the Town Hall to check out supplies for tomorrow's coffee house. We are serving fancy desserts with coffee and I want to check to be sure the china is in good shape after not being used all winter. I also need to clear out the refrigerators so Katherine can load in her desserts tomorrow morning.

Just looked at my August calendar and realized the staff have just two more weeks of work. They've been a fun group and I will miss them although it will be just fine to not have to supervise them. (I don't have to be on the site but do need to be available which sort of cramps my style.)

Time to crank up the day. TGIF, for sure!

Good morning!

Yesterday was my granddaughter, Amber's, birthday, and everyone was up early, so I never did get in here to post.

Debbie, I hope you get all your bouncing accomplished today!

Tammy, I've never gotten that pop-up message, and in fact, this is the first I've heard of it. There is a family of hawks that lives in the treetops across the road behind our house, and we love to watch them swoop around.

I have much I'd like to accomplish today, and I hope I get it all done. First we are heading out to the Amish market for breakfast, and I want to get some cantaloupes and peaches. Then another Must-Do is get my passport renewed since it expires next month, and Dad is expecting me to stop in to get his meds in order and do his paperwork, and I have to make an appointment with the Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor to have them look at my left ear since I can't hear out of it.

First and most importantly, though, I am going to enjoy some coffee before I get going!

Happy Friday!!!!

Last night orientation went well, I think DD2 is excited now for school to start on Monday. Tonight I think I am going with DH and DD2 to see the Rams practice since they are coming to the base.

Debbie hope you get everything accomplished today

Twynn I never get pop ups either just ads targeted at whatever thing recent I have been looking at online.

Cottage sounds like you have a lot to do as well today.

Ruth the summer has rushed by hasn't it, hard to believe

Have a great day everyone

Good morning.

Debbie - so sorry about your sister.

I've been to the gym and grocery store. We are going out to dinner with friends tonight at an Austrian restaurant. It will soooo not be a SBD friendly meal and I have been looking forward to this place for months.

Not much else going on here.

Have a great day.

Thanks, Lexxiss for the warm welcome!

TwynnB - A hawk on your porch? That's amazing - we just get the ordinary deer and sometimes turkey in our field. One year though we did get a porcupine in one of our pine trees. Glad that he moved on though b/c they are supposedly hard on trees?

Glad everyone is doing well!
