  • How about a what ever you wish challenge for a week? Just a week. 7 days of your life... (Small time frame.. but a long enough frame to start good habits or NIP bad ones in the Bud!) Like exercising, or water drinking or stick to Induction or whatever you wish! Make it your own!! Something new or something that you know you need to stop doing...

  • Me.. for a week... I WILL Do induction and will get rid of that sugar beast craving inside of me. I am starting today 6/28... But will start posting Monday and post ALL food/drink eaten and will also drink 40 oz of water at least!... 4th of July will be hard.. but I can BBQ with no sauces and that is a treat in itself Yum Yum Yum Hamburger on the grill with Cream Cheese & herbs!
  • Sue -I'm in!! Induction level and exercise!! Still hanging out between 172 and 169!! I appreciate this plateau/maintenance but I do want it to be between 162 and 159!! Still lots of travel so it is challenging!! I reverted to a bad habit of multiple weighs per day and I don't like it!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!!

  • Sue - Thanks for the link! I watched the movie. I'm going to the dr on July 10 and I am going to ask for the NMR lipoprofile to see what kind for particles I have...I have been on Lipitor for years!! 171 this morning which I consider a great success after all the travel and business meetings for the past few weeks!! I need to be well inside of the 160s!! Best wishes for an on-plan high fat day!! HA!

    Menu:
    6/30 Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 sausage links 1 oz cheese
    Lunch - 3 oz Blazzin Chicken breast, 1 oz cheese, tbsp Mayo
    Dinner - 2 cups Romaine, Grilled Chix, Cheese, Bacon, Egg and Dressing
    and then I had 6 mini mounds bars GRRRRR Why oh WHY do I give in to that voice? ARGH... better tomorrow!

    45 oz of just water... 60+ of ice tea

    Today's Menu
    Breakfast - 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, hot tea with sweet'n'low - 1nc
    Lunch - 2c romaine, 1c spinach, 1/2c cheese crumbles, 1/2c red bell pepper, 1/2c cucumber, 3tblsp italian dressing, two chicken tenderloins - 10nc
    Snack - 1/2c cucumber, 1/2c red bell pepper - 4nc
    Dinner - 2c steamed broccoli, 2 tblsp butter, 4 low carb meatballs - 5nc

    20 minutes on elliptical
    40 minutes yoga
  • 170 this morning!! I'll take it!! Fallout Boy and Paramore concert with my kids last night....loved it but can't hear a thing!! Needless to say lots of time on my feet!! Back on the road today and tomorrow and then home for a long weekend!! I made the best homemade chicken salad with left over roasted chicken yesterday!! Yum!! Also buying fresh vegetables from a local farm...my husband says the broccoli tastes better than the stuff from the supermarket!! I know the strawberries do!! Still eating blueberries and strawberries....oh and I walked outside yesterday!! Yes hot and humid but it felt good!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

    Lunch - 3 oz Blazzin Boars head Chicken/ 1 oz cheese roll ups with Mayo
    Dinner - Same salad as yesterday..
    but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Bad Chocolates at all! ON PLAN all day!


    Water - 40 oz water
    Tea - 60 oz

    Did good.... now for day 3
  • I had a really bad afternoon yesterday. When I went to eat my lunch I discovered that I had forgotten to pack the cheese for my salad, and I absolutely cannot eat lettuce without cheese. So I just ate the chicken and bell peppers. Totally not enough food. And I had also forgotten to pack a protein for my snack, so I just had a few more peppers and cucumbers to eat. Needless to say by the time I got back home I was so hungry I was starting to feel a little sick. So I didn't end up accomplishing anything...not cooking, exercise, anything, just laid on the couch and ate pizza quiche to keep from starving. Plus my back started acting up again. Now today my back hurts even worse, and it is making me nauseated. I took my heating pad to work with me so hopefully that will help my back some. As much as I wanted to start up yoga this week, with my back going wonky, that isn't a good idea. Yoga really helps it in the long rung, but it makes it pretty sore the first week or so, and with it already weak...

    The good news is that I made my first mini goal. One down, 9 more to go.

    I'm going to jump in here on this challenge. I'm not strictly doing Atkins or induction, but really limiting my carbs, so I guess you could say I'm probably in phase 2 or 3 of Atkins. Anyways, I tried posting in the other low carb method section for motivation and it's a ghost town over there and no one posts, so I thought maybe I could jump in here with this challenge for some motivation?

    I weighed 182lbs this morning and my goal for July 6th is to just be in the 170's. I want that 7 number so badly and I definitely think I can do it!

    Today I ate 4 strips of turkey bacon and I had one cup of coffee which consisted of I think 19 or 20 carbs (sugar and creamer) I've cut my coffee consumption way down and now only have it a few days a week when my breakfast is smaller.

    The plan I've been following is just to limit my carbs to between 50 and 100 grams per day, though I really like to keep it as low as possible.

    Okay.. day 3 Weight 220.8 (+.2) Really??!!! GRRRRRRR

    Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 sausage links, 1 oz cheddar cheese
    Lunch - 3 oz of Blazzin Chicken, 1 oz cheese, Mayo roll ups
    Dinner - 4 oz chicken, with parm cheese/ranch dressing/provolone/garlic/mayo.. (It had been marinated and tastes alot like Longhorn Parm chicken... and YUMMY!

    Water - 40 oz (2 glasses)
    Tea - 60 oz at least 3.2 miles of walking and sweating! LOL
  • Okay.. day 4 Weight 218.4 (-2.4) Woohoo Almost lost all my gained water weight! YEAH!

    Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 sausage links, 1 oz cheddar cheese
    Lunch - 3 oz of Blazzin Chicken, 1 oz cheese, Mayo roll ups
    Dinner - 6 oz of my Parmesan coated/provolone cheese/mayo/butter Chicken... oh YUM!

    Only getting about 15 carbs in... I am taking Fiber Tablets (6 a day) to make up for the lack of lettuce (the only veggie I really like!)

    Water - 40 oz
    Tea -75 + oz
  • Still at 182lbs this morning, but I weighed before going to the bathroom. Hoping tomorrow I'm able to weigh in afterwards and can see a drop of some sort.

    Been doing well on eating.

    Tried a change on the muffin in a minute recipe. I replaced cinnamon with cocoa powder. It didn't work out well so I tossed it. I did end up having made coffee so there is roughly 20 carbs with all the sugar and cream. I'm really hungry right now though. Can definitely tell I didn't eat anything. I think I'm going to eat a protein bar that is in my desk. Looks like 9 net carbs, so that's not bad for something I just found!
