The silly things we do

  • I just jogged in place for 3 minutes, getting all sweaty in the process to get my step count up for the day. I was so close to my goal!

    These gizmos do work if you care about what they will say. I was 300 steps short. Now I'm 225 steps over... Didn't event give myself slack since I didn't put the gizmo on until after 1 pm.

    And since I plan to start daily posting my gizmo progress, I'm even more motivated to make it look good!
  • Whatever it takes!!! I think that was great that you didn't give up on your goal and make an excuse as to putting the gizmo on too late in the day! I'm impressed! Keep it up!
  • I agree! Whole heatedly! I've had my fitbit since Jan and have a pretty large group of friends on it. We have a work health program that is giving them away when you sign up for a "fitness coaching" thing. It has caught on like crazy, we now have a group for everyone at work and people are constantly trying to get in the lead. Doing laps around the production floor at break, laps around the block if its nice. Going to the bathroom on the other side of the building and downstairs to get more steps in!

    When I'm at the gym, I will stay on the treadmill or elliptical until I'm ahead of certain people on my friends list

    Nothing like a little friendly competition to get your butt in gear.
