  • Been eating terrible for the past two days, which is just foolish on my part. Seeing my coach today, time to get back on plan. Any suggestions on how to kick myself in the butt?

Fitting for my gown for my son's wedding this Saturday. This should be motivation enough!!!

    Have a wonderful day.
  • Happy Thursday! Today is day 4, and I am exhausted! Getting up to pee every hour at night is really getting old... but since Monday morning I've flushed 11 lbs of water. ELEVEN. That's ridiculous!

Have an appointment to meet my new coach on Saturday morning and pick up some packets. She doesn't seem to carry all the products, which is a bit of a concern, but she is willing to order the things I like, so that's good!

When I got home from work yesterday I put the dogs out, put the chicken in the oven, and then started packing a box (moving apartments, yay!)... and then I got super weak. I had a few extra ounces of chicken for supper, and extra salt on the veggies, and that seemed to fix it right up! Chalking it up to not sleeping and electrolyte balance, but if anyone has other suggestions as to what might have caused the weakness, I'd be glad for the help!

    Have a wonderful day everyone!
  • safetylady are you on phase 3 now? Tell yourself whenever tempted I'm not giving in today. It helps to get through some of those rough days and when you make it through the day OP it's a really good feeling.

loopers if you are doing a lot of activity then you should add an extra non-restricted. You are probably feeling week just because this is a very low calorie diet and your body needs a little time to adjust.
  • Good morning!
Safety lady - you can do it. Be strong!
Rag doll you're awesome! You're always so supportive and have great advice.
    Have a great day everyone.
  • Good Morning Everyone!!
Safety lady~ Hang in there. Today is a new day to get back OP.

Weighed in yesterday, lost 2 lbs and 2.25in.. chugging along.. been so tired of late, not sure why. Been doing IP and alternates... hopefully it will pass.
I hope everyone has a good day.
  • Hey folks, been awhile since I posted anything - lurking yes - posting - no
Soooooo.......this is probably going to be a long rambling post.

First, did my weigh in this morning and was glad to see some movement on the scale - been a long two weeks with nothing happening loss wise. I'm happy to report a 5 pound loss which brings me to a total loss of 81 pounds in 3 months. Yeah for me.

More importantly - to me anyway - is that even before starting IP I had lost 20 pounds, so my total loss thus far is 101 pounds. I'm quite happy with that number.

In the last ten days I've had to punch two new holes in my belt in order to keep my pants from falling down. I've also been shrinking out of my existing set of clothes - pants especially. I find it ironic - before the weight loss my pants were always sliding down because they wouldn't stay up around my huge spare tire size gut. Now that it has decreased significantly my current pants won't stay up because there's so much less for them to "grip" Just can't win, LOL.

I'm hoping to last a few more teaching days then my students will start their practicums - then I can start wearing more casual clothes to work. Most of my work clothes have reached that baggy stage and I'm just "getting by" if you know what I mean. I'm trying to avoid having to replenish the closet just for 6 days of class time.

I've learned, well relearned a few things the past few weeks. Restricted items just are not my friend. Anytime I've tried the restricted snack items the last two weeks it has had an immediate negative effect on my weight loss. As in I stop losing. Not having them is not a big loss - see what I did there with the pun? - to me as the soy content wreaks havoc with my digestive track so I can easily do without them and stick with my orange drink.

I've also learned that I have been overdoing it with mustard. The extra sodium has had me retaining water quite badly - man I sound like a chick more and more every time I post - and the scale numbers have reflected that as well. So mustard is on the back burner for a bit.

On a sad note I've had to say good bye to some old friends this week. Good bye, Old Holey, Breezy, Quick Drop, Stretch, Baggy, and the rest of the gang. Yes, my DW has thrown out all my old underwear. I am now wearing the new smaller size undies she bought me. Smaller in waist size that is - thank God there hasn't been a "weight loss" in that one area. I certainly wouldn't be bragging about that I can tell you.

Well that's about it. Told you it was going to be a long post. LOL
  • Spiritman Woo Hoo On 101, that's FANTASTIC! Love the part about losing your old 'friends' made me smile. Nice post for you to return with.
  • Dumb question, but are any kind of sprouts approved for P1? I see bean sprouts on the list.......
  • Been quite stressful this week...DD (8) was in hospital with stomach pains, nurses kept trying to feed me cookies and juice (we were there for 16hrs). Funny part was, although I couldn't leave her to eat regularly, I didn't feel hungry. I had a few packs on my purse, so ate those at her bedside, then escaped at one point to have a tea and salad at the cafetaria. When I got home, my mom had made me 8 meat balls cause she didn't know what else to make, lol!! I was thrilled! She couldn't releive me in the hospital because of her own medical issues, so was at home with my son. I ate up the meatballs and once everyone was settled made a big batch of kale chips. Oh, and the nurses gave me glasses of ice chips
  • I'm going for my consultation tonight and start first thing tomorrow morning! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't help but feel like today is my last supper, but I don't want to load up on crap today because it will make the next few days even harder!

Any recommendations for my grocery store trip tonight?
  • Spiritman - you are too funny! Congrats on joining the Century Club! That is an amazing accomplishment. And good job releasing your poor tired undergarments to the other side. What is it with men and their underwear anyway???? I buy brand new ones for DH and somehow the old ones still turn up.

ZOMBIEDAWN - what kind of sprouts are you considering? I have generally stuck to mung bean sprouts (they make great "noodles" for IP friendly Chicken Chow Mein!) but alfalfa sprouts should also be fine - a cup of them only has 8 calories and 1g carb.

amt6 - veggies veggies veggies! Do you have the Phase 1 sheet yet? Remember that only certain vegetables are allowed on Phase 1. I have told a few people who started the program to begin with veggies you already know you like from the list. The first week is tough enough, trying to eat new veggies in the first two weeks can make it harder. Stock up on lettuce, and a good amount of stuff you know you like. Pre-cut stuff and keep it in the fridge so it's easy to grab. Good luck!
  • I have yet to figure out how to quote previous conversations.
WOW, Spiritman Congratulations!! 101 Is an amazing accomplishment

I was complaining this week of being extremely bloated for no reason with an extremely sore stomach, only to find out I am gluten intolerant. Who Knew!!! This news however explains a good portion of my past. I have more tests in the coming weeks and have a meeting with my coach today to see which foods will suit me best.

    Happy Thursday
  • MY3labs - Thanks! I'm just trying to pay it forward. Everyone on this site has helped me get where I am.

Spiritman- I always love reading your posts. Congrats on the 100 lbs lost!!!!

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friends.

newday2013 I hope your DD is feeling better. Good job sticking to plan during such a challening time.

amt6- Pickles are one of the select veggies. I munch on them when I am hungry between meals, then deduct them from my lunch/dinner veggies.

Yes, definitely don't carbo-load today, your first few days will be extra rough if you do!

I would stock up on lettuce, veggies, lean proteins, and spice rubs (check the label for sugar, corn syrup, MSG, etc.)

If you have a good coach she will help you get yourself organized for the first few days.

    Good luck!
