For the past week I have seriously been counting calories and not going over my amount for the day (per myfitnesspal). The total for the day is almost 1800 and I have to say I have logged and stayed under all week. The problem is is that I have not lost anything and in fact the scale has even moved up 2 pounds.
Any thoughts on as to why this is occuring and what I should do?

Don't give up, stick with it, your plan will always need to be tweaked and adjusted as you learn what works for you. Good luck 
And then when it realizes that the change is permanent, it starts to use the fat stores. So just wait it out. And remember to be regular with your meals because then your body won't go into panic mode again trying to hoard food because it doesn't know when it will get food again!
