Confused as **** about new points.....

  • OK, so I'm back. *L* I've been doing WW since January of 2011, and since that time I've been through three different programs -- Points, Points Plus, and now 360.

When I started in January 2011, I had 29 points a day. At that time, I *think* that was about the lowest you could go. When I moved over to Points Plus, they readjusted my allowable points to 26 (but I never dropped, I still used 29 per day.)

I kind of dropped the meetings for a while (okay, four months...lol.) And when I went back, this whole 360 thing had started. I re-registered for eTools and when I plugged in my height and current weight, it automatically calculated my points allowance as 32 points per day.

I'm kind of confused. I mean, that's more points than I've ever been allowed. Will I still be able to lose weight using that number of points? I'm pretty confused. I'll ask my leader at my meeting on Wednesday night, but I wanted to try and get some input from you all.
  • Hi Snoofie, your point range should still be the same as from last year. 360 didn't change any of the ranges or values. Are you sure you entered your weight correctly? Did you gain weight from last time? 29 points are the default low range, and your leader can drop you to 26 if you need less points to lose. So if you just weigh a little more than last time, you could take an easy jump from 29 to 32 points.

    Hope that helps!

  • Is it possible your settings have you accidentally set to maintain instead of lose?
  • The range is higher, but the points values for food are higher, too. I wish WW would quit changing the program every couple of years. Regular points worked great.
  • LRH, she was already on points plus 2 years ago, so the values should be the same.
  • TudorRose, you're a genius! That's exactly what happened...I forgot that the last time I used eTools, I was trying to maintain, not lose, and it kept that setting. D'OH! Thanks for the suggestion; I have it fixed now!
  • No problemo! I know they raise your daily by like 5-6 when you maintain, so that sounded about right.

Happy to see you back again!!
