Default Hypo thyroid meds?

Not sure if this is the right thread but I started thyroid meds today and I was wondering how long before you could "tell" it's working

My husband had his whole thyroid taken out a little over a year ago and then had to wait a couple months before starting meds (and his thyroid level was basically zero), and he claimed he could feel his energy returning about 1 1/2 weeks after starting the medication

Sigh... the last 5 days I have stalled. I have been 100% on the green program. I am thinking of metaquick for a week

I have been on synthroid for over a year now, but I seem to remember feeling a difference after a couple of weeks. One day, I just wasn't as tired as I had been. I'm still tired all the time, but not as much.

I did have an incident with my dr (getting a new one) where my Rx wasn't refilled in time and I was without for 5 days. I lost nothing that week, but the next week I lost 3lbs which was my highest amount yet. Hang in there!

I've been taking it for so long that I can't remember how long it took until I felt better. I do remember they kept making adjustments over the first year. Recently with my weightloss, my Dr. is watching it closer since she said my loss could cause needs for adjustments (lower dose). I started with Levoxyl .33 about 13 years ago. I was switched to Synthroid about 3 years ago. Currently I take Synthroid 1.50. I feel great but my hair still falls out and my skin stays dry. :-(

I am 48 years old and have taken Synthyroid since age 15. They have had to change up my dosages many times of the years and it usually takes a week or to before I get any energy back. From my experience, once you get regulated, the weight will fall off much quicker.
