Default Regained and am back! Anyone else in the same boat?

I lost 20 pounds this spring/summer, was feeling great, and then started a new job and promptly gained it all back. It was a combination of going from an active job to a very sedentary one, me stopping exercise altogether, and going from strict calorie counting to eating at Tim Hortons 3x a day.

Anyone else in the same boat? It's embarrassing to have lost all that weight, got compliments from lots of friends and coworkers, and then immediately regained it. None of my clothing fits and I felt much better about myself and more attractive at 130 than I do at 150, so....

I just signed up for Stickk.com. I just committed to lose 30 pounds (technically 30.6), or else I have to give an organization to which I am morally opposed money.

I'm feeling a little nervous about this (maybe a lot nervous about it) but I think it's worth a try!

Yep, I'm here too!

I got down to 130 in the summer of '11, then my husband came home from deployment (lots of celebratory eating and vacatons), we moved 3x (different states) in less than a year, and I managed to get totally off track and gained back 18 lbs! Like you, none of my awesome new clothes fit and I felt big, bloated and miserable.

I've re-lost some of it in the last several weeks and I feel SO much better already. I would like to lose another ten to reach my goal. I'm calorie counting and hitting the gym regularly. Now I need to actually learn how to live maintenance when the time comes!

Last year I lost over 75lbs, I knew I was gaining it back, but didnt realize I had gained even more than I had lost. Hit my high of 374, and am pretty angry at letting myself undo ALL that hard work.

BUT... I am back at it, and so far moving in the right direction. Knowing that I CAN do it (altho again) makes it a little easier, I'm pushing myself becuase I know I can. And you can too!

You're right, it does makes it easier knowing that we CAN do it. We've done it before, we know how to do this, and we can do it again!

Maintenance may be the tricky part, haha.

Ugh same here! I managed to lose about 25lbs in the spring, for personal reasons and I would be a bridesmaid in July. Well by the time the wedding came around my dress was way too big and even though I went to take it in 2 weeks before the wedding I thought "hey! Maybe I can indulge a little in the mean time.."
Well those two weeks have turned into 20, yeah 4 months. I didn't think much of it till maybe last month I noticed my clothes were tighter and lo and behold I weighed in at 159, only 3 pounds lighter than back in February

Ugh its so discouraging! But I'm determined to be back under 150 by new years! In fact this is my first time logging back in since July

What an interesting concept (the stikk.com) I've seen another one - which unfortunately I can't remember the name of - where you essentially bet on yourself to lose weight with your own money. If you win the bet they pay you double and if you lose you're out your money.

Same boat here. I got down to the mid-150s two years ago, kept it off for a year and then started gaining for reasons I cannot explain. Totally frustrating! I think of how I was still trying to lose in the mid-150s and how I would be so happy there now. *sigh*
