Default Knee strain

Ok I haven't posted on here due to a previous experience (those ppl should feel free to block me if you dont like my texting shorthand) but I'm giving it one more chance.

I've had surgery on my left knee due to torn ligaments and since have re-injured it. I decided not to have another surgery. But this morning during a kickboxing cardo I felt something pop in my right knee. So I'm here leg propped up with ice and in pain. How do I not mess up my progress when I'm not mobile.

Also I have been doing a low cal plan with 5x a week cardio. In 5 weeks I'm about 6 lbs down. But... I haven't lost any inches. Anyone else have this issue?

Good to see you back and congratulations on the 6lb loss. Sounds like your knees are the "weak link" in your exercise program. I don't know anything medical - my husband is having physical therapy on his shoulder and it seems to be really helping him. Maybe something like that would help you.

Try physical therapy the strengthen the muscles around your knee.

Weight loss is 80% food, 20% exercise. Focus on your food intake, take care of your knees, and slowly get back to exercise.

Your knees will be screaming when you're older. Be nice to them now.

my knees are screaming at me pretty much constantly so I know how you feel. Rest Ice and Antiiflammatories.
If you have access to a pool you can exercise gently in the pool to increase range of movement and keep your muscles firing.
As long as you haven't seriously damaged your knee.......exercise ASAP within pain limits is very often the advice. You probably need to see a doc or a Physio for advice.
I used to be a physio and on the whole the very worst thing is to immobilise it.....but as I say that depends on diagnosis.

Ouch! Hope it feels better soon. It's true that weight loss is mostly about diet so be vigilant. I lost a lot of weight not really exercising at all (health reasons) so it is definitely possible. I'm much happier when I can exercise but I know it's no reason to start eating cakes daily and give up either.
