Shock on TV last night

  • Something on Channel 4 (of course!) called Fat Women and their Feeders.

It was truly horrifying. These are a group of men that take things to extreme. Encouraging women to put on weight. One put his wife regularly on the web (naked shots etc) and was in competition to have the fattest wife (at one point I think she weighed 50 st). They had an adopted daughter (god knows how she managed to adopt as they are very sniffy about fat people adopting).

It is abviously a control thing and the ultimate "High" for the men is having a wife who cannot do ANYTHING by herself.

Eventually they had to go to a doctor and went into therapy but I don't thik he has learned a lesson as he has a project of building a house for a super size woman and looked around it and said it would be ideal if his wife put on more weight....

Another woman had to be rescued from a house she had been imprisoned in by a man for a couple of years.

    Truly depressing and truly scarey.

There is a HUGE difference between your nearest and dearest not minding if you have put on a few pounds.stones and the kind of sickoes who force their wives to consume liquid fat in an attempt to make them really big. Yeuch!
  • these men sound sick.

You watch some interesting telly Peacock, beginning to think I watch the wrong chanels.

Watched a thing about us developing from apes last night, they had one called Lucy and she died and I spent ages consouling Steven (5) that Lucy's baby was alright someone else would have looked after it and that no he wasn't going to turn into an ape, just because apes changed into humans - think he missed the 3 million year bit there.
  • If that is the ape thing I think it is I read in the Radio Times that the actors involved were on a photoshoot at Docklands I think it was and they were as apes but dressed up in clothes and got a real ragging - open hostiligy from members of the public - saying how ugly they were.

Some people! I bet they feel fools now!

With regard to the programme I watched - yes I suppose it was interesting but I wanted to work out how the **** the men got away with behaving like that but I suppose it is not much different from other controlling men who use violence or ridicule. Pathetic bunch!
  • I watched the 4 programme the man who wanted his wife to be the heaviest model in the world was beyond belief fairly obvious if she had stayed at that weight she would just be a dead model
  • He would then have moved on to another potential victim......
  • I have heard people at work talking about this programme, the men sound despicable. I did see the trailer were the poor lady couldn't even get herself into a seating position.
  • There had been a similar programme on men that like amputees. The more helpless the better which doesn't say much for the men involved...
  • OMG...that is frightening i've seen really overweight people on Maury Povich's show and Jerry Springer but it has been self inflicted..not inflicted by some sick husband..they want locking up.
  • I, too, watched that AWFUL sick programme on Ch 4 last night...well, I missed the beginning and then could not beleive what I was seeing on the screen. 50 stone!!! That poor, poor woman looked fit to literally burst out of her skin...and that husband of hers, doing close up shots of her stretch marks and everything else he could zoom in to. It was the most horrific thing I think I have ever seen on t.v.And he was SO PROUD of that bloomin' house he had designed for her..all that about extra wide doors that she could walk normally through and not have to go through sideways.BLEH!!!

Well, just think girls..we are never going to be like that, are we?!We are all getting thinner by the day.....
  • She was 58 stone at her heaviest! The worst of it was the poor womans self esteem was so bad that she didn't mind getting fatter as for the first time in her life she was popular with men.
I'd like to be locked in a room with her 'husband' for 10 minutes....
