Here's the skinny...

My daughter and the kidnapper went away for the week-end for something silly ...

To celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary ...

something unimportant to me

that's fine...if she wants to spend her time with the kidnapper that's her problem not mine!

it has never made much sense to me...

and yet she is an educated woman....

go figure

Anyway, enough of that.

here lies the problem....

I assumed that GRANDdaughter2 would be spending the week-end with me...

and yet she is not here

Now my daughter never said GRANDdaughter2 was going to be here...

and when I questioned her this morning, when I called....hoping to wake them up

(kidnapper is a sleeper-inner) daughter is not

daughter informs me that GRANDdaughter2 being only 10 weeks old is still OTB....(on the booby)

Excuses is all I ever get!

I am sure there is a law...and if not...

THERE SHOULD BE!!

That grandpa gets to babysit when mom's and kidnappers go out of town!

AM I RIGHT, Ladies?....

Well enough of my

I better go get GRANDdaughter1's toys out because her mommy and daddy stayed home this week-end

and our coming over for the BBQ

I guess I will be OK....

Thanks Ladies

We had a great afternoon/evening with GRANDdaughter1...

even had 2 week old GRANDniece1 here for the BBQ....

GRANDdaughter1 and I played with our new shovel and bucket in the rocks...picked too many lemons off the tree...chased the "jealous" goldens...watched a Bubble Guppies and fed the new betta a little too much food (had to remove some!)...


and still managed to eat a great dinner and watch some NASCAR!

AND.....best of all....

rubbed it in via I-phones to GRANDdaughter2's parents

I hope all of you had a great family day!

Well, if daughter and kidnapper wouldn't leave the little one with you, I think it is perfectly appropriate to rub in how much fun you had today. Maybe next time they go away, it will encourage them to make the right decision.
