Default Scale Advice Needed

My scale and I are not getting along. I am getting as much as a two pound difference from stepping on and off and back on again. I am getting everything between that two pound difference as well. I probably stepped on and off 20 times this morning and probably got 10 different readings. I hadn't had this problem in the past. What type of scale do you use?

It seems I have the same type scale that you do (spring scale).
I always weigh at least 3 times, completely resetting the scale each time, then I take the number that I see at least 2 times to be my current weight.

Sure would be nice to have a balance scale.
