I think I just stress ate

  • I had a house full of kids, a small head ache trying to grow. Dh home from work today, his day off, he had a tooth pull today. I had a Doctor's appointment...there was just a lot going on. Changed the menu so DH could have a soft lunch and dinner. Doctor thinks I have a frozen shoulder, and osteoarthritis...blood tests taken, will know soon. So Tim Horton donuts, bought for the daycare and DH wanted one. I felt safe all donuts should have been gone, spoken for. But the children did not eat all theirs, I mindlessly ate the donut pieces. Later I thought you were not hungry, you did not crave them...my mind was on what I needed to do and learn about doing for my shoulder and the test results that I will be getting....I believe I mindlessly stress ate. Not happy about it, and I am going to have to watch for this. Thanks for letting me vent. Writing it out helps to place if firmly in my mind.
  • I can relate. I used to work in a daycare and I would stress eat all of the leftovers from lunch. So gross. So it's not only you. Just keep in mind that you have the tendency to do that and do everything in your power not to let it happen. For example, as soon as the kids were done I would run the rest of the food back to the kitchen just to make sure I didn't eat any of it! Remove the temptation. Don't beat yourself up about it, just keep on keepin' on and you will be fine!
  • aah! I'm a preschool teacher and fight this battle daily! But today, for snack they had fresh cut veggies. I gladly ate the leftovers
