Hi everyone! My name is Ashleigh and I am new here. I have recently lost 15 lbs in the past 3 weeks, and I am excited to lose more. I started off at 240 and am currently at 225. I am motivated and inspired and feel like nothing can stop me now. I have tried over and over to lose weight but have never been this comfortable with it. I know I am going to be successful this time. I cant wait to get to know everyone.

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your 15lbs loss. No matter what, even if your weight loss speed slows down, do not quit. You can do it!

Congratulations on your 15lb loss! That's awesome! I'm new here too...wish I could say I am as motivated as you. How are you losing weight? Calorie counting or something more specific? I've tried tons of stuff in the past, lost weight but ultimately gained it all back, plus some. Blah! lol Anyways, congrats again!

Well before I started this journey I was addicted to Mountain Dew, I mean like I would drink 8 cans a day. I switched to Water with Crystal Light added to it. I get the Wild Strawberry with caffiene so I wont have withdrawl headaches like I have had in the past. I noticed almost an immediate change on the scale. I was excited and that motivated me to eat healthy and exercise. I try dont eat more than 1200 calories a day and am a lot more conscience of what I am eating. I try to have a small low calorie protein snack every 3 hrs if its not meal time. I downloaded a pilates app on my phone and do that 20 mins in the morning. In the evening I take my kids to the park and walk around the track for about an hour. I wish you much success !!! Oh, I used to be soo addicted to Cherry Coke! Still a weakness occasionally, but I've switched to diet drinks. I've heard a lot of stuff about how they supposedly make you crave sweets worse than regular ones though, so I should probably just stop drinking them altogether. Excedrin migraine is good for the headaches too because they have caffeine in them. I've had some success with calorie counting in the past, but it my biggest obstacles were the fact that I cook quite a bit and sometimes figuring out calories in a meal seems complicated. Also, I'm hungry all the time it seems like! So I'm giving intermittent fasting a try. It's been difficult at times but I think it will work well once I get into the swing of it. I tried to PM you but I guess I haven't been on the boards long enough yet. I think you have to be a member 30 days and have 20 posts. I'd definitely love to have ya as a weight loss buddy though!

Great well after we get these 20posts/30days out the way then message me. I do find drinking water all day makes me less hungry. When you are getting really hungry and are about to eat drink a full glass of water and then wait 10-15mins before eating, it should help you to eat less. I dont know if Crystal Light and diet soda have the same false sweetener or not but I find my crystal light to be extremely sweet and thats making me not want sweet stuff at all. Also try eating something small every 3hrs this should make you feel less hungry also and boost your metabolism. I bought the strawberry special k bars at 90 calories and they are sooo good. Thanks for the tip about the excedrin migraine, Ill make sure to pick up a bottle incase I decide to cut the crystal light down. I think the crystal light might actually have more caffiene than soda. Ive heard that caffiene is horrible if youre on a diet but I havent noticed any ill effects and Im steady losing so Im not too worried about it yet until I hit a plateau. If you are cooking your meals and having a hard time calculating your calories. I would encourage you to start weighing and measuring your food. Just because calorie counting and logging your food seems to work wonders on diets. I think it help with accountability too.
