  • Welcome to all who'd like to join for this almost 3-month long challenge. Summer and shorts season is right around the corner. Let's work together to inspire and encourage one another to lose some weight and get in shape so that we can celebrate this holiday looking a feeling healthier.

You can sign up now by just introducing yourself (I'm Sandy) and letting us know what your current weight is and what you hope to lose by July 4th. But the official challenge will begin on April 9th (the day after Easter). We've had so many people join for the Easter challenge, so it would be great to see them continue on here and to have more people join in as well.

So, don't forget so post here the day after you raid your kid's Easter basket and get started on getting off that chocolate weight and then some for this challenge.

Everyone is welcome and any point in this challenge. Looking forward this!

    Start weight: 195
    July 4th goal: 175
  • I love the name of the challenge!

I started a challenge with myself to lose 40lbs by the 4th... I got 24 left to go!

    SW - 251.5
    CW - 235.5
    GW - 211.5
  • I'll jump in. I don't weigh- too much stress . But I do have a goal...to run a 5K before 7/4 and to be in a good size 12 and able to at least zip up a 10. Sounds weird, I know....
  • In 3 months...I would love to see 25lbs gone. I'd be satisfied with 20. So I am going to give myself that window of 5lbs and hope for the best.
  • Welcome to you all!

free1, yes, having a size goal is just as inspiring and, as you said, less stressful as having a weight loss goal. Great idea!
  • Hi! I'm Tabitha and I want in too! My goal for 4th of July is to lose 43 pounds!

  • Hi! I am Cecilia! I feel a bit like an intruder here (not being an American), but my boyfriend, who is being very supportive of my diet and exercise plan, holds a dual American/British citizenship and achieving one of my goals by July 4th would be a good present for him (especially considering his graduation is the previous week; I won't be able to be there, sadly )

My goal is to go under 100 kilos by July 4th. Was at 108 last time I weighed, but the Easter break and some bad eating happened I usually weigh on Wednesdays, but I will start weighing on Mondays . It's the cold season coming for me, though, but I think that will make it more of a challenge!

So, up to the moment, starting weight is 108 kilos (238 pounds), and my goal is 99 kilos (218).

EDIT: Yay! It turns out I lost 3 kilos since my last weighing, so my starting point is 105, and I will move my goal to 96. So, it makes it 231 pounds as starting point, and 211 as goal.

Copying the format, too, but adapting it to how I am used to write dates (day/month).

  • Hi all,

The Easter challenge proved to be exactly what I needed to lose those first 10 pounds, so I'm gonna use this challenge to strive for my next two goals:
    1) a healthy BMI, which for me is 148 lb (a loss of 14 pounds).
    2) run a 10k race

I'm a dual American/Canadian citizen, but I live in Canada, where we celebrate our national holiday on July 1, so that's my goal date. Conveniently, there's a Canada Day 10k that day, so that's what I'm striving for. (I'll still celebrate July 4th with you guys when you make it to your goals!)
