Hello all!
I am new on here (kinda, I signed on already long ago but never got to the weight loss part). I have never been small or slim at over 5'8" and large-framed but before my late 20s I was never overweight either... However some years ago I really let myself go and gained a lot of weight which then I managed to lose with a lot of help and support on another weight-loss forum. Then I got pregnant

and gave birth to a beautiful baby-girl...

Unfortunately during my pregnancy I gained way more than normal... I guess at the end it must have been over 65lb...

Now, 2 years later, I still have a lot of "baby weight" if you can even call it that after so much time. In the end of January I joined MFP and started counting my calories and have lost about 8kg (17lb) since then. I am not following a diet of any sort, I simply try to stay within 1400 cals per day and the weight comes off pretty easily. Formerly a sugar-addict I realise that recently I have had 0 sugar cravings. I try to eat well-balanced healthy diet and stay away from refined sugar. Last time I lost a lot of weight I did it via a VLCD, lost the weight very quickly but I also didn't feel too well and lacked energy. this time I am trying to do it the healthy way and I hope to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight by the end of this summer and to my ideal weight by the end of this year.
One thing I have learned on my journey is that it is hard to stay on track without a lot of moral support and being a part of the weight-loss community has thought me many valuable lessons. I am looking forward to sharing my weight-loss journey with all of you and I hope to give and receive much needed support along the way.
