Snk: I large mug of tea with a sugar substitute

Dinner: Raw spinach( lotsa spinach yum!) with baked chicken +/_ some more fish
pos din snk ( optional) : handfull of dry roasted unsalted peanuts

    What do u guys think....?

ps...is there a place where menus can be posted for critiquing?
  • It looks like you could use a lot more veggies, unless you're eating 4 cups of spinach at dinnertime. And you should try to get 2 cups of dairy (not including cheese) in there, too, to balance your diet.

As for a place for critiquing your menu, we have an On-Plan Thread where you could post it and probably get a lot of helpful suggestions.

Good luck, and we're looking forward to getting to know you!
  • Thanks !!! I eats tons of spinach.. 4-5 cups with 1-2 meals daily. Good point about the dairy. looking forward to meeting all u guys!
  • Whoa that's a lot of black-eyed peas!
  • Quote: Whoa that's a lot of black-eyed peas!
    My thought too!

I'm pretty sure they're on the no no list.

Limit your peanuts to a couple tablespoons.

    More veg!
  • They are OK but 2.5 cups is a whopping 495 calories and 21 grams of fiber! SBD suggests that a serving is a half cup. Calories do count on this plan.

I'd also work on more variety in vegetables, not just leafy ones like spinach.
  • Great start.
I would personally make a couple changes:
substitute a low carb veg for the peas
substitute almonds, walnuts, avocado, or EVOO for the peanuts
  • Thanks Ladies...
Thats why I joined; to get some guidance and I appreciate all the responses!!
I have lost 3 lbs ( on day 5 of phase 1) and won't stop!
In regards to veggies... besides leafy greens, I am not interested in much else. I like that greens are juicy and fill me up. I think I'll stick with them..
