    to the February exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

    In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

    To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as
    Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes.
  • Haven't been feeling great, might need to head to the doc, and I've not been exercising, so I'm not going to set a goal for Feb. yet. I WILL be here recording when I exercise, though. How high can we go???
  • My goal in minutes for this month is 700.
  • Hoping for 1,500 minutes of exercise this month.

    My Feb. goal is 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week.

  • CHAIR EXERCISING
    10 minutes - stretching
    15 minutes - aerobics
    15 minutes - weights

    GROUP TOTAL 90 + 40 = 130 MINUTES
  • I don't really keep up with the minutes but I do miles. Generally I do a 22 min mile (2.7mph) so I'll figure it up on that. I did 2.25 miles last night.

    Group Total 130 + 50 = 180 minutes.
  • 180 + 44 = 224 minutes

    Two miles tonight.
  • 60 minutes treadmill
    60 minutes personal training

    Personal Total: 60 + 120 = 180 minutes

    Group Total: 224 + 120 = 344 minutes
  • CHAIR EXERCISING
    10 minutes - stretching
    20 minutes - working core

    Group Total: 344 + 30 = 374 minutes

  • 0 minutes for me today
    I think I hyperextended my bad knee yesterday so I'm taking today as my day off for week one. Swelling is going down so hopefully I'll be okay for tomorrow.
